6 Songs : Mind Blowing!!
Source :HinduTimes

Simply mind-blowing
November 20
Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

Nattamai:
If you can't think of any other difense, then try any one of the following ..
1. They paid sify to publish this news
2. ARR bought 3 lakhs units by himself..
Hope this might help you in coming up with a meaningful difense.
Please dont shut up, you should come up with something. Otherwise we all ARR-fans will miss you.

Just a serious thought
Why do all the ARR fans so short tempered!! Ignoring is the best way to get back at a person..
One thing i notice is that, ARR fans are too opinionated.. that might be one of the reasons for some mediocre things getting so HYPED up.
Me being a Music rasigan it is hard to believe ppl take upon themselves personally for little things.
Let us get back to healthy conversation of Music than CONSTANTLY SAYING this is the best.. when it is NOT.. may be better than TFM albums out there, but surely if you touch your conscience you will understand it is not the best, but better than the rest!! hopefully..
My pick is the Adnan sami song... and MEENAXI rocks..
Naatamai: stop saying the Thundu logic, it does not work.. coz if the Music is good, there is no reason ppl will not buy!! If it makes you happy or not it does not matter.
But the only contradiction i see here is that, when somebody says good about ARR, then ARR fans hail the news, but if they say nething a little negative, then the news is VOID what a double standards.
Hope ppl understand and become mature!! than have pity fights which is so boring and helps ppl out of newtfmpage

"pora pokka patththa, SONY audio companya unmaileye 'soni'yana companya arr akkiduvar pola! Lot of people are complaining that usual arr-mani touch is missing. Soni might be thinking, what the heck, because of arr money is missing now, hahhaa:) "
After that message, I am wondering why Naatamai is missing!! :-)
My interpretation...
"nallavar yaavraum odhungi kondaal
narigalin "Naatamai" thodangi vidum"
Nalla message varaatha varaikkun Naatamai nammai thundaal thoonduvaar
"vaaliba kootani vaal eduthaal
valapakkam boomi thirumbi vidum "
Vaalibar kootani, Naatamai-oda vaal-a pudichu, direction maathinnanga, adhunaala aala kaanum
Vairamuthu enna josiyakaarar-a? Idhellam therinju vechirukkar?

u may feel it isnt the best, but some others may not feel the same. I could go on listening to this for a long time unlike Meenaxi. Agreed that the album is class act but i prefer hard beats over slow songs.

Ilayaraja..
if u did, u wudnt have added that last line! :)
It's one thing to be a fan of Rahman.. It's an other to go to these extremes. It jus puts the other ARRFs in bad light too :(
Please.. tone it down a bit. AND cut the bad language.
Didnt mean to offend u.. Sorry if i did.

piratheepan
I thought when u talked about the album, i thought about the complete albums like MEENAXI, KKS which will surely stand for a long time than some songs in a album.
Might be u will not agree to that!!
As long as u r messing with others.. have fun!! that is what this forum is supposed to be, at the same time informative
I did not say AE is bad n e where, all i said is,
It is too much of an extreme to tell it is the BEST..
Personal preference is different from making musical sense..
Where is V?

MIL,
i was talking abt the complete albums like MEENAXI & KKS, yes those two will stand longer than an album like AE in most people's shelves, but i like trance music more then other types so AE is gold to me.

Rahman - Return of the King!
By Moviebuzz
Thursday, 18 March , 2004, 13:33
Rahman-Mani Ratnam combination has once again struck gold with Aayitha Ezhuthu album. The first three-day audio sales have crossed the magic figure of 1 lakh!
No Tamil film audio has done such fantastic opening sales in recent times. Said a spokesperson of Sony who is marketing the audio: "Aayitha Ezhuthu audio sales is phenomenal at a time when music industry is going through bad times. And people seems to be going crazy about the songs."
Normally a hit Tamil audio sale is around 40,000 to 50,000 units sold over a period of three months. But this audio has created history as it may cross 3 lakhs even before the release of the film and if the film is a hit, it will do business close to 5 lakhs units, something that happened a few years back regularly with audios of Indian, Gentlemen, Roja, Bombay and Alaipayuthe.
The most popular song in the album is Jana Gana Mana sung by Rahman and Karthik followed by Hey Goodbye Nanba sung by Sunitha Sarathy, Shankar Mahadevan, Lucky Ali and Karthik.

I just luv HIM!!

I dont know about Alavandhan audio sales. But for Boys it is true and Boys went on to become one of the hottest selling tamil albums in Kerala and Andhra even outshining the native language albums.
I belive it fared well in TN too.
