6 Songs : Mind Blowing!!

Simply mind-blowing
November 20
Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

flaws in ur review ...
1.Hey nanba is teh first song to do that ..even the KKS had ennyir thozhiye ...and lot of songs have come in that way ...aiso jadoo from khakee has the same format
also thriuda thriuda having youth has excellent music ..I agree ARR has expereimnte din this movie ,but there is no one strong melody which is characterstic of all ARR

Ayutha Ezhuthu songs are great, they sounds very youthful and enjoyable to dance to. Rahman uses very different sounds like he use to.

Rahman - Return of the King!
By Moviebuzz
Thursday, 18 March , 2004, 13:33
Rahman-Mani Ratnam combination has once again struck gold with Aayitha Ezhuthu album. The first three-day audio sales have crossed the magic figure of 1 lakh!
No Tamil film audio has done such fantastic opening sales in recent times. Said a spokesperson of Sony who is marketing the audio: "Aayitha Ezhuthu audio sales is phenomenal at a time when music industry is going through bad times. And people seems to be going crazy about the songs."
Normally a hit Tamil audio sale is around 40,000 to 50,000 units sold over a period of three months. But this audio has created history as it may cross 3 lakhs even before the release of the film and if the film is a hit, it will do business close to 5 lakhs units, something that happened a few years back regularly with audios of Indian, Gentlemen, Roja, Bombay and Alaipayuthe.
The most popular song in the album is Jana Gana Mana sung by Rahman and Karthik followed by Hey Goodbye Nanba sung by Sunitha Sarathy, Shankar Mahadevan, Lucky Ali and Karthik.

There goes Sony's thundu..
cha.. wat a sad! ;)
Jokes aside.. I'm delighted man! My friends at college have gone totally gaga over the songs.
and Ferrari,
thanx for the lyrics.. I was having real trouble singing along reading the lyrics on the cassette cover. I'm err... just a bit slow at reading tamil. By the time i finish reading a line, the song progresses to it's next stanza! :)
