SAW VIRUMANDI

I saw Virumandi by paying extra.
Why KAMAL..? Why u proved all that told by K.Balachander in Virumandi VIZHA.
It is better to have directors like BHARATHAN ( DEVAR MAHAN ) to deliver a good interesting movie.
Virumandi was very raw and not able to sit in the second half.
Dont confuse the audience with ur confused state of mind.
Iam UPSET and my friends ridicule me as a fan of yours.

  BEWARE.....you must be a real idiot. What do you know about tamil cinema? Why the hell are you commenting on stuff...if you have no idea of the basics. Kattabomman was the first Indian film to win an international best actor award. Check this out if you have any doubts. It is a shame to even respond to such stupid posting.

  You should have some guts to even compare him with others. As Kamal once said...if some one claims or even recognised as No 2 to Sivaji...it is a big insult for him as he is No 1 to No 10 ...and then comes the rest....I think he said this in an interview to the Aside magazine.
  
  So, please the change the topic and talk something else. What is the latest trend in the box office....hearing that the starting trends are changing big time and Engal Anna is doing big business. Frankly, I saw it on video and thought it was average. But...as the there is no real competition even average movies are making money. Can't wait for Tamil New year!

  All these comments of "The No 1 actor the world has ever seen." and "The Greatest Actor the World Has Ever Seen!" are made by us TAMILS.
  
  The world beyond the borders of Tamilandu at large do not even know the name of Sijaji associated with an actor. Even during his hay days Sivaji took pride in having been compared with Marlon Brando. In fact he imitated Brando in most of his English style movies.
  
  The only movie he did well was "Muthal Mariyadhai" because Bharathi Raja told him 'PLEASE DON'T ACT" just mouth the words I give!
  
  Sivaji's gtotesque figure when he danced with young actors like SriDevi was the greatest comedy scenes the world has ever seen!
  
  In "Thillana Mohanambal" he will peep from behind a pillar in a temple, when Padmini dances. In this scene his face looked like a Japanese Samurai warrior and not as a Tamilian!
  
  For the TAMILS Shivaji is a great actor (i.e) "kAkkaikku tthan kunju pOnn kunju" for others it is just "verum kunju"

  Beware...we are proud that Sivaji is a Tamil actor. He was born, he lived and he died as a tamil star. He never copied hollywood or other language stars from India. Even Brando commented that he can't imitate or act like Sivaji but Sivaji can play his roles effortlessly. Less told abot the other indian actors better. He was not known among the masses in the other states because he has not acted in any of the other languages. We are proud that he was an out and out Tamil actor who brought a lot of fame for the tamil cinema. Has any other actor been a honourary mayor of a US state other than Sivaji?

  Sivaji due to health condition at that point of time received the award in Chennai. Instead If he had gone to France it would have been a different story.
  
  Our own governments never recongnized some outstanding artistes like Sivaji. Rajkapoor is more well known than Kamal for that matter. But he can't act for nuts.

  I just happened to watch some special programme about Sivaji on RajTV(Jan 26th). They had an audio of what Marlon Brando had to say about Sivaji...
  "Sivaji Ganesan, you can act like me, but I cannot act like you"
  
  I did not want to take part in this any further. Reading statements like what you said, make it harder for me stay away! If you want to make a point be justified in doing so, rather than making all the arbitrary statements that you can think of. I am not denying the genius of Kamal in here, but it is you who is refusing to accept some basic facts.

  There is no doubt Sivaji is a great actor. But he had some limitation ... no one is perfect.
  I would no one in the world is the greatest actor, everyone is good in their own way.
  
  So please refrain from saying greatest actor, sun, moon, god and so on.
