Divakar,MS
Very nice orchestration for MS's melody. It has come together very well, considering that it was a remote collaboration again. The guitar added a very nice touch to whole song. Especially liked what you did for the "mugavanam... mudhugilum..." part.
Good work!!!

Guys, can you post your site link here? I will update the top of the page. Most of the links there seem to be at mp3.com which is going to be obsolete.

divakar very nice,
regarding the mixing I feel the reverb on the voice could have been reduced, its kind of very echoish

UV,
thanks for pointing that out! I have updated that mp3 with another version, may not solve the reverb completely but better than the previous version....
Another score: This one's a classical Harp piece based on our Carnatic Classical System...the score is called NIrvana

I think this harp piece is the most structred composition I have heard from you. It sticks to memory since it is devoid of random or spontaneous variations. Very beautiful. Keep it coming !

Just heard your arrangement. The song obviously sounds fuller and more melodious with the background music. Good stuff. MS must have had his surprise of the day.

Last week, I set myself to compose a tune every day and arrange it within 2-3 hours each morning.
This would help me focus on melody and harmonizing it and creating a core arrangement.
No time for flourishes and counterpoints and intros and interludes...
This was the first one I did.

Divakar Bhai,
tremolo is too much on the lead of kalyanavasantham...your playing thinks so much like a carnatic classical musician...but overall it is interesting like somebody's inspirational call for joining a strike or bandh...
- From: Divakar (@ 68.106.96.22)
on: Tue Dec 2 18:57:33 EST 2003
Aditya,
thanks for listening to the solo...As you know, KalyanaVasantham like many ragas apparently could be rendered in quite a few ways very melodious, soothing or melancholous and serious...just like its parent keeravani...here its just plain melancholous....Now aditya dont make me or my music responsible for acts like that....Just kiddin' and I hope you are not joined any...there is one goin on in LA today!
- From: Aditya (@ 68.62.91.125)
on: Tue Dec 2 21:45:33 EST 2003
Divakar, you the good musician here and am a good listener of your music hereby confirm that your music didnot inspired anybody in LA today:-)) Just Kiddin...
I liked the mood of it...Very soulful and inspirational...inspiration to motivate people for any noble cause;-) Perhaps strike and bandh need not be considered as anything negative...
More important is how u played...v nice.
BTW, your classical harp piece "Nirvana" is amazing...
Keep them coming and more!!!
