'Kodi inbam meni engum paaindhadhammamma'- this lovely song is from 'Nenjilaadum poovondru'-an unreleased film.

Thanks for your review and appreciation for the Wind theme. What you noticed as good and bad points are really helpful and encouraging me to evolve further. I value your format of review and it's details.

Aditya,
Good job. I am taking the liberty, If I may, to sketch down some of my thoughts as an electronic musician.
As much as people here hate synth sounds, I will take all my courage to say that, you could use a lot of strong synth patterns in your music. No, I don't agree that it sounds "mechanical" or something.
Just my humble opinion.
Thanks,
Eswar

Song of the Day: vaNNath thamizh peNNE nee kaNNurangu from Signatures.
http://www.newtfmpage.com/cgi-bin/stream.pl?url=http://www.dhool.com/sotd/vannathamizh.rm
- This is not from any film. This is a composition of Srikanth, sung by Raja Govindarajan (RajaG as he is known here). I have a small part to play in this song, I wrote the lyrics.
- We did this song as a part of an album called Signatures, which included several songs written by Udhaya and myself. Unfortunately, the album could not be brought out for various reasons. However, I didn't want to let this effort go into oblivion, hence the SOTD.
- This song is a lullaby, singing the praise of thamizh. I detail the various stages of thamizh, from its "kal thOndri maN thOndraa kaalaththE" time to its present, ending with a hope that the internet will usher in a new age of growth for the language.
- RajaG is a wonderful singer with a voice to kill for. He has been doing stage shows all over US. He has sung with the likes of SPB and Anuradha Sriram. Srikanth's 80s in chennai was featured before, he too is a regular in newtfmpage and an avid composer.
- If anyone is interested in checking out this song in mp3, let me know.

Bobby,
Listened to Radio One - Kumar, Sridhar and Srikanth's songs. They are too good. Try to get songs of other composer's too.
Good work.

Hi there,
A small attempt on Poo Malaye THol Serava from Pagal Nilavu. Kinda first sketch, so some notes and chord changes at some places is not the exact. Recording quality is so so. PLease let me know ur comments.

BB, can I also have an mp3 of that song.
Aditya, I felt the overall ideas of ur Wind theme was good, but may be u cud use better instruments for a better effect.
Rjay ur Mere Yaar was awesome. As some others here, I am not really a fan of spoken lyrics in middle of a song, but I wouldnt mind it. The piano was cooool.

Guys, that lullaby SOTD is not published as a single...so totally free and ;-) that we misers can freely enjoy - This is a great SONG!!!
For all the great efforts put in by the team, reviewing is one easiest thing that we can do:-))
Musician Srikath, Singer RajaG and Lyricist BB, you guys have to be blamed for making me addicted to the song for the holidays...Why do you have to make it so mellifluos;-)...i like this kind of melody from srikanth...Should consider making this kind of melodies more ofcourse this is only for Mahati:-))Srik should consider making more like his Wedding Song...
Hummed this song atleast 2 dozen and 24 times...
This slow rock flavor with guitar strums infectious...I am tempted to be write in more detail...but instant oath for this holiday season is not to do so:-))
I am honest here to say "srik's originality in the composition has been portrayed at it's best in this song"...
Perhaps RajaG and Srik's combination is more soulful than even SPB and Sunder:-))

BB, thanks for getting the song out.
In a nut shell,
As ever RajaG rocks! And with great lyrics from bb makes my composition something to remember.
This song was recorded in 1999 - 2000 in Seattle. This song about 5 years old,
I did this soft lullaby in 1997 and was waiting for a moment to get it out,
I met RajaG and after hearing the tune, he gave wonderful ideas! He suggested language Tamil as main theme in the song; it is the kid that grows! BB came out with great lyrics. Rajags emotions in the song are beyond compare. The background music is well arranged. The best part is this was recorded using very minimal equipment I had at that time. I will soon upload mp3 128kbs download for this song soon.
For me, this is a song that I will always remember rest of my life.
Thanks all for listening it.
