  YES YES our govt. is not so dumb to accept all the policy decisions made by WTO and WORLD BANK to privatise every sector. the same govt has sold over many of indian public sector companies to MNCs. wat has happend to our own companies like modern breads, allwyn motors, maruthi or indian owned companies like videocon, weston, kelvinator, ashok leyland, dunlop. wats happening to all those govt owned and indian private sector owned companies.
  the pressure is so high now to make health, education and basic ameneties like water and food sectors to be privatised. as our govt doesnt want to do it immtly. as there may be opposission frm public they had promised to the WTO and WB to do it slowly. slow poisoning ???
  yes u will hav work in a foreign company under the false pretext that they r dependent on u. but one fine day if they giv u retreachment like wat happend in ford motors. no body will be there to speak for u.

  who told u that the survey included pirated versions and how can u count the pirated versions?? accept it RS, ARR is the big-money spinner.....he generates cash that IR can provide in 10 movies... so sales wise dunt compare ARR and IR and also dunt give rubbish reasons as economic boom and stuff.....

  Added to RS: Our govt may not be dumb but surely they are run by a bunch of greedy politicians, so if there is money!!, they will do whatever they can. ex Laloo.
  
  Coming back to Music, If you see how many indians were there in other countries in 70's and 80's compared to 90's and the various exchange comparisons, the money might seem to be big, but if relativeness is concerned, IR albums sale will surely be higher than ARR.
  I think you should go by not raw data statistics, but Standard deviation, weighted average mean or find the regression coefficient..

  IR uses foriegn instruments and has made SPB vomit some sick verbal innuendos like "ram bam bam" in the name of "attempting" westernb music!
  
  Ask IR to use only Tharai Thampatta and other theru kuthu instruments alone and ask him to record with equipment made in this soil and then talk abt MNCs
  
  If you guys (especially rajasaranam) have nothing to talk about in musical terms and choose to deviate and prolong your pathetic defence using some rubbish theories like MNC, british rule and other classic rajasaranam-like theries go do that in front of IR's house and protest his use of foriegn carts and instrumnets.

  This is a definitive statement that claims that TT was a flop!!!!!
  
  ARR on the otherhand has said that people appreciated so well in the end and that has been accepted by ARR fans themselves.
  
  It was the start of the famous ARR syndrome where the music is not that good at first few hearings but later it sounds very good. I myself posted a bit from arr yahoogroup about this. SO why ARR? we ARR fans ourselves accpt that TT was a syndrome starting album where the initial few perceptions were not recieved too well and however it made out to be a landmark album entering HINDI TOP 10s on TV as the no. 1 song!!! Something IR can never ever ever imagine doing in his life!
  
  So first give me an answer on why u take us all for ride with your false statements like:
  
  1. "Thiruda Thiruda was a flop album which was accepted by ARR himself in an interview"
  
  2. ARR is a copyt cat (is that you or another one that holds the copyright for barking this all the time)?
  
  And yeah I believe that only 60,000 casettes of Boys was made, but if you know simple economics the turn around time for producing a batch of 1000 casettes is less than a week. A CD is even lesser than that! So it is the obvious case of Boys becoming popular and everyone wanting to get a copy!

  I am a ysr fan too!! Ever since poovellam kettupar I have been following him.
  
  But I am not like you who cares to bash other MDs when you are on top. Someday YSR too will face hardship.

  That's a good observation I think. I wish there was a statistical way of evaluating music. Though we surely can apply this kind of analysis to see who was the most successful market grabber of all time!

  It is true that TT was initially not accepted, but by critics, not by public, as is commonly mistaken. Of course they tore TT apart as it was being compared to Roja. It was one of those instant hit albums which public doesn't reject. Once the movie reviews appeared every one was praising TT's music. Its not like Kadhalan or Indira which needed time to register with the audience and is definitely a class act.
