  I don't participate much but I can tell you this. You two are doing one hell of a job. You don't need to but you do. Would it help if I tell you that, in an otherwise crazily busy life, the pages that you two maintain are my oases! I keep coming back to them. Forget general appreciation.   I am an ardent fan of old MGR songs. I do not look for music but the lyrics and the edhugai, monai and the beauty of poetry is what attract me to the old songs. Though I do have a good collection of these songs at home I would love to listen to these at work. What do you think is the best way of getting them? The websites created by you and other benovalent folks are the oases in our otherwise dry and earning-for-good-friends life. I accidentally found this site where I get a rich collection of good old songs. I may not have expressed my appreciation but I do understand the selfless motivatvation, hard work that goes with it. Several friends of mine in Madras are trying to get some songs in vain for me but some rare ones are available in your websites. This goes for SK(Neela vanna kangalirandu), vetrivel(ithu naan ariyatha mayakkam), Ramasamy Gireesan (eryile oru kashmir roja),Rex Arul (matha un koyilil), saravanan (poovaitha poovaikku) and all the chandrothayam, kudiyiruntha koil songs from your own are very rare and stands out differently from the multitude of IR songs and repetitions. So do not feel that we are not appreciating and please do not close down. I already felt handicapped for not being able to listen to SKs ps.html en rajavin roja mugam. Our appreciation is always with you guys.

  i am very happy to see that you are listening to those songs! I just love those songs and they are my favorites. Whenever i go to india i used to get them recorded on cassettes and i enjoy them at home, on the road in my car , on the flight while making a trip down to india . I have notieced something peculiar about these songs when it gives me a kind of inspirited feeling as i (and my family) drive back from a long week end trip someplace like pittsburgh, new jersy etc. Listening to those MGR songs as you drive by the big mountains , trees, garden (state parkway!;-))) in the US is really a different experience!

  That should get you into good spirits. I know
  Bhasker. He regularly writes to me by email
  saying how much he enjoys listening to the songs
  in our pages and also asks for addresses of
  similar pages. I am telling you.. in Bangalore
  you almost get no TFM via radio, leave alone old
  tfm! The only way is to have personal collections.

  Since rameshb and I (and others) are having problems with
  memory space we have to keep deleting some songs
  while uploading others. So when you see a good
  song and want to store it, have you considered the
  possibility of putting them in zip discs. In the
  case of old songs which run for about 3.5 mins
  per song, you can easily store about 60 songs in
  one zip disc. If you need to discuss that, please
  send me an email.

  With xoom cutting accounts and people like me
  going for different accounts, there is a clear
  possibility of the addresses changing. In that
  case you have to change these links (you also
  have to go to older pages and do that). A better
  option is to give.. "click here for a list of
  links to old thamizh songs" and maintain a
  separate file. The same applies to IR Hits thread.

  Even at that age he was in action on an important role in the

  Thanks a ton for the KK collection. engirundhAlum vAzhga is awsome. Good thinking. KK was also acting in some Kannada tele-serials and it is reported that he collapsed during the filming of one of the serials. What better way for an actor to go? If there is a veera sorgam for actors, I am sure that he will get there.

  I agree with all you said about MGR songs. It is so strange that I mock at MGR movies, politically do not like MGR, but I love MGR songs so much. In fact my life style and attitude towards life changed after imbibing mgr songs. I think vaali and pulamaippiththan should take the credit for this. I was so amazed to hear the 'vangaiya vathiyarayya' song as it took me back to 1966 when DMK won. I hear this song in your websiteafter I had seen the movie in sometime 70s. Also another song ennamma rani ponnana meni (I do not remember the website) after a good deal of time which took me back to the TV days. The nostalgia with the old songs is simply great.

  Thanks for your suggestion about zip files. I do not know whether I can say this. I had already suttufied lot of songs from your sites (The lovely ps collection.) through cassette recording. Can you get me the 'en rajavin roja mugam' again please?
