Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy can be brought to TFM

Remember the Music Director trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy, the music directors of Kamal Hassan's Alavandhaan. They seem to be missing in the Tamil scene for the last 2 years and they are doing really good in the Hindi field. They have given solid musical hits in Hindi such as; Mission Kashmir, Dil Chahtha Hai. I think they can be brought to the Tamil films again. I feel they are definitely better than Deva and a few others. I think they are the best as far as Hindi Film Music goes after A R Rahman.

I would like healthy comments who listen to Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and have a fair knowledge of Hindi Film Industry.

  As per I know ARR charges almost 80laks to 1 crore for one soundtrack.
  Nadeem Shravan I know were in a controversey where they first signed a movie for 20 laks and then demanded 60laks as that time was their rate.
  
  So I would say Anu Malik also may be charging that amount.
  
  I donot know how much SEL charges but my guess it is anything from 25 laks to 35.

  pardon me, but i have my doubts regarding wether you are actually ehsaan of shankar-ehsaan-loy.
  
  i really can't believe that you wouldn't know how much singers are paid per song. i remember , when kumar sanu and his wife were estranged, she had issued a statement saying that sanu was earning approximately 2 crores per month (and she wanted half the amount...after divorce)...this was more than 10 years ago.
  
  these days the music rights alone of movies cost the respective music companies in excess of 10 crores
  
  at a time when 100 crore movies are being made... saying that a playback singer gets 8 to 45 thousand per song is either a joke, or you are not ehsaan of SEL
  
  can u give us some sort of evidence to prove that u are actually ehsaan.
  
  the evidence better be good , cause i really think your game is over.

  Their pronouncation is pathetic and they sound pathetic!!!!
  They are good singers, but they should stick to Hindi or any other languages that they are good at.....

  lets have our own doubts and questions about the identity of Ehsaan. Lets not again and again dig into the same and embarass a person.
  
  We need not have to ask some embarassing questions. Remember, if it is really ehsaan how embarassing it would be for him to answer questions like "what is the actual pay of X?", "ask X, Y, Z not to sing in this/that language", "dont work with this person or that person", "why dont u work with this person" kind of questions.
  
  Remember TFM page has officially declared that ehsaan of SEL and he has been visiting our site and actively involved in this thread. If we still have our own reservations let us either quit from this thread and/or stop asking the same question again and again.

  hi ramki it would depend if we did a completely orchestral score for a film. we do use live strings a lot as u can hear on kal ho na ho etc but that is only a string section and not a complete orchestra. ir and arr have had the good fortune of working with a proper orchestra hope that some day we will get to do the same.

  I live in the U.A.E. and must tell that the whole country is singing your tune--the local radios are flooded with requests for the songs, and we can hear har gadi literally har gadi, and yet never tire of it! When I saw the film in a cinema hall in Sharjah, I was overwhelmed to see native people of the U.A.E. singing along, tapping their feet and clapping, relishing every song, every note--

  ramki we use a software called logic to programme the music , for recording we mainly work on a software called ' pro tools ' which is really great.
  i dont think digital music is depriving the soul of music because as far as hindi songs are concerned the most important factor is the melody and that has nothing to do with digital or acoustic. i like both digital and acoustic instruments.

  hey people.....ARR's concert in malaysia yesterday was superb!!!!and when shankar came on stage,ARR was like 'shankar is one of them who produced the biggest blockbuster of the year,kal ho na ho' and everyone were screaming like crazy...cool man!!and shankar was superb too...i loved the way he sang the song from lagaan.wonderful!!ehsaan,please do tell shankar that everyone here simply loooved him!!!love all of you!!
