  Superstar Rajinikanth is set to retire after Baba if the movie turns out to be megahit. When he adressed the Press in the "Baba Audio function" he said - "After completing Muthu, I decieded to retire from movies. But generally people remember your last movie before you retire the most. So I thought I would retire after Arunachalam. But the movies wasnt as big a hit as I expected it to be. So then I thought I will act in another movie, and if its a hit that will be my last one. Then came Padayappa (Narasimha in Telugu) and I decieded to retire. I went to Lahir Baba's ashram to take rest after that. There the Baba himself said that - 'How many ever events we organise our messages do not reach the masses, if you can make a movie sending a message it would be excellent'. but I replied that a movie is a business and many people's life depends on it. And moreover people come to the theatres for entertainment, and I dont wish to disappoint them. It takes crores to churn out a big movie.But then my guruji persisted that I should do one with a social message and the regular commercial message. I thought over for 4 months and decieded that I would do Baba. If this is a hit, this would be my last... Or else I would do another movie to deliver a hit. Please dont expect it to become a flop as you may think, if Baba is a flop Rajini will get to another movie.(laughs). It has the regular masala items and a social message it it. Hope you would enjoy seeing the movie as much as I enjoyed making it."
  
  In the function Baba Rajini Kanth revealed that - movies were just a part of his life and not his life as whole. So he decieded to retire at this age. And he clearly mentioned that he is not interested in joining politics as of today and said that in the future too his not likely to join unless very neccasary. He left it there without commenting on the political situation in Tamil Nadu. The event will be broadcasted in Gemini TV, Eenadu and Maa TV very soon (relay). New entries to the media field like - MAK Telugu and Sibar Media were also present there to cover the event. The meet was attended by Rajinikanth, Chiranjeevi, D.V.S Raju, B.V Reddy, Murali Moham, Aswini Dutt, Allu Arvind and other prominent film personalities.

  lot of fighting/violence all the way till end!!

  Rajini is the last person whom i would take a message from. The forced cassette sales, his hyped up threat to jayalalitha has already done image to him. I respect him as an actor. End of the story. I liked him before 1990. I cannot imagine Tamil fans who idolize actors. First MGR now Rajini. To be honest with you last few movies, Arunachalam, Muthu, Padaiyappa i couldn't sit through the entire movie. They all defied basic logic. Very amateurish. I don't think Baba is going to be any different. Movies like Azagi are far better than padaiyappas, muthus. Rajini fans do a reality check before showering praise on Rajini if he is really worth that much. He cheated public with illegal cassette sales.

  Baba music review thread is being used to discuss everything expect for music or quality analysis on it,all we hear is some people complaining and comparing people for ever.
  Popularity,celebrity of someone is used for everything,this includes now tamil separatist threatning to blow up theaters showing Baba ,their logic is Mr.Rajinikanth is non tamilian extracting money out of tamils(its ok for tamilians to loot money out of tamilians i guess)sad indeed
  as such tamil film industry is running in loss lot of people expect this movie to improve things

  I request all the guys (who like RK, who don't like him, who like ARR, who don't like ARR, who likes IR, who doesn't like IR) to leave all their bias and fights. We are all wasting our lives in these "democratic" fightings. After 50 years, if we think about these fights we'll be laughing and also feel ashamed.
  
  Each person has its own talent. Let's admire that talent. Most of us are just noting the negative points in the persons we don't like. Let's change that attitude and be positive. IR is a great musician and especially, after getting spiritual, his music has become so lovely and divine. ARR is still young but he has given us excellent scores and let's admire him for the same. About RK I need not say much. He is becoming spiritual day by day and tries to spread it across the current youth generation. We need to admire him for his work. He may have some negative qualities. Let's ignore them and admire his many positive qualities. Personally, I love anybody who tries to spread the word of God (through movies/music/life).
  
  Each one of us have good and bad qualities. Each time we do a good work and pass good comment our goodness (or good karma) increases. Everytime we pass a negative comment we are coming under the influence of badness. Let's discuss everything but, in the name of discussion, let's not attack anybody. I request all of you for the same. Some of you may not understand these points now. Because all of us are young now. But we'll understand the same when we get old and repent it then.

  How many of you really feel that Deva would have done great job given the chance ?

  Vijay!! According to your theory Jayalalitha is a god. Personally you love anybody who tries to spread word of god. Some aethiests may not like it. It is all subjective. So criticisms should be welcome with the same hands you welcome accolades.

  I think Deva is the best choice for non-artistic masala actors like Rajini. In an interview ARR told that its the taste and musical passion of the MD which gets the best out of him. Obviously SubashGai, MR, Shankar etc. ARR never regrets for loses neither cherish his victories. Next ARR movie (Boyz or Elaelo) will surely put him back to top.( Baba is not bad but not of ARR class)
  
  Badshah is the best typical-Rajini music so far in my openion.
