Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”

Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.

Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

  Yuva is really pathetic......the lyrics i meant......hopefully the music carries it thru.....
  the best line in AE according to me is from fanah:
  "PIRAVI PIZHAI,KADHAL THIRUTHAM"..........mannnn this is the most romantic line one can ever imagine of.......... but when i told this line to a female,she was non-impressed(with me and the line).......hmmmmmm, girls nowadays dunt want airy-fairy lines of poetry but a good "Chicken mcgrill" at Mcdonalds.....

  Please read VM's interview in www.kumudam.com. Its a nice interview and he has explained nicely how they created the "Fanah" song. Its amazing. I have great respect for VM and MR's creative capabiities.

  hi all...i happened to listen to ayutha ezhuthu in tamilsongs.net and happened to look the songs for this singer Sunitha Sarathy. she seemed to have sung quite a lot of songs. does anyone have info about this singer?
  
  there was also this good old song Shenbagame Shenbagame from a good old Ramarajan :)) movie which is about a decade and a half old.

  VM's lyrics is hard to hear, probably because of the choice of singers and in one or more instances "satham ulla kavithai". Wonder how he tolerated this and came up with this interview. But then people change (for anything). The lyrics as the music of the movie is certainly not one of the bests, but its different and good. Most of the lyrics has just nice proper tamil ( and some sanskrit) words, but it is more of "varthai jalam" without much substance to be called one of the bests.

  VM's lyrics aren't the best in this movie but still good. As usual ARR's music overshadows lyrics. On top of that, non-tamil singers swallows some of the words.

  AE lyrics are one of the best i've heard in the recent time.......it is mind blowing.....ARR shuld not leave VM.....
  Ms.ash.......
