Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

nah i think siddharth was the correct choice by mani because his role is that of the avg youth who minds his business and lives innocently.
from promos it seems like this (red=maddy green= surya & blue = sidd)
red-anger & violence
green- change full of hope
blue- innocent
green types of ppl try to make a change to get rid of ppl like red but red want power and during their fight for power they hurt ppl like blue who are innocent

Not necessary that everyone will like the music right. It depends on the reviewer as well. If he is a traditional orthodox guy and likes only such type of music, then for him AE might be a culture shock. He cant portray his side, but he will portray that the music director is wrong.
You like AE songs and if every review says it is bad does it matter. What matters is whether we like the song. Avlo dhan. If people like it, then every channel and FM will play it and song becomes a hit. Becoming a hit and good review do not go together always right? so dont think abt these things and enjoy your music.

If she wants to be gossiped with someone..she wants it to be with Vivek Oberoi. She is made about him and doesnt mind being gossiped with him. And two actors that she'd love to act with are Madhavan & Siddharth.

i think the music is way toooo peppy and has got the spice in it to target the youth .....
its quite clear that the lyrics is not clear...(he he :)..........

See the Varimuthu line of Yakkai thiri....in Kumudam KONJAM THENIR in Kumudam dated 01.09.2003... with slight changes Mani has used this in AE...
Read Variamuthu Interview in this week Kumudam..

Believe it or not...
I heard the songs, it is really pakka commercial and catch beats....
It is playdown due to the realese AE - (Mani + ARR combinatin)
NEW will be the biggest !!!!!!!!!! Wait and see in next 3 days

Rahman-Mani Ratnam combination has once again struck gold with Aayitha Ezhuthu album. The first three-day audio sales have crossed the magic figure of 1 lakh!
No Tamil film audio has done such fantastic opening sales in recent times. Said a spokesperson of Sony who is marketing the audio: "Aayitha Ezhuthu audio sales is phenomenal at a time when music industry is going through bad times. And people seems to be going crazy about the songs."
Normally a hit Tamil audio sale is around 40,000 to 50,000 units sold over a period of three months. But this audio has created history as it may cross 3 lakhs even before the release of the film and if the film is a hit, it will do business close to 5 lakhs units, something that happened a few years back regularly with audios of Indian, Gentlemen, Roja, Bombay and Alaipayuthe.
The most popular song in the album is Jana Gana Mana sung by Rahman and Karthik followed by Hey Goodbye Nanba sung by Sunitha Sarathy, Shankar Mahadevan, Lucky Ali and Karthik.

VM always talks in pure tamil and hailed as a great tamil 'kavingar'but this "yaakai thiri" is full of sanskrit words. VM is an out & out commercial lyricist. He has penned many good film songs but he could go to any extent to accommodate the requirements of MDs by blatantly using English words
VM is overrated. Vaali is a better lyricist. Kannadasan was far ahead.
