6 Songs : Mind Blowing!!
Source :HinduTimes
http://www.hindustantimes.com/news/181_465617,00110003.htm
Simply mind-blowing
November 20
Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

Please stop this analogy post-mortem, this is my last reply to you
Thanks for your compliments. I was clear about my analogies, and I think I am very logical in what I wrote. I bet your analogy is the sick, silliest, stupidest and illogical analogy of all. If you still think you are right about your analogy (terrorist attitude if you say), you are just too emotional. You need to tone it down a little bit and please come up with some better analogy if you can :-)
And finally Ensoy your musick dude!

Naatamai,
personally, i didnt find ur analogy proper either.
It's OK to have a fave.. but thinking of all the others as opponents doesnt go down too well.
"What will you be your thinking while watching a game? rooting for your opponents? "
well, most ppl wish their team performs well... not that the opponents should perform badly.
Unless of course... the team ur supporting is Bangladesh!! :)
I hope I've sent across the message in ur own analogy. :)
Thanx.

V,
Usually MR movies in the US are promoted mostly by EROS international and AVS TV (Raaga) will back it up atleast on the HINDI front. So u might see the movie at STRAND or BERGEN County Regal theatres..

Its a cool album... Adnan Sami's 'Nenjam Ellam' is my pick in the album. It grows on you on the first listening itself. Its going to be another Snehidhanae.Rest of the songs are good.Mani's picturisation will defenitely do justice to ARR's effort.

AE songs are not extraordinary.. It's an average ARR album...very predictable..
Nenjam ellam song is a good song but Andan sami ruined it. I dont't know what's really wrong with ARR. Why does he have to use someone who can't pronounce even one word in Tamil to sing a tamil song????

Nattamai
your post is so dumb day by day. You are pouring emotions in your posts and you want someone to cool down??
I mean, can I ask you something dude? Are you a teenager still? If not did you live inside a cave or something and never let your social mannerisms grow up?
You are spewing venom in each post becos you think it is cool to pull down some MD? If this is not a sick attitude what else is?
I hope you are a teenager. If not I feel bad for you. Maybe you have deep psychological scars from your adulthood and thats making you have an attitude of vexation hwre you feel everything is so bad. And you do definitely get much pleasure from pulling down other MDs.
You have also built your own dream world in which you establish your own realities( you wont believe sony sales figure but you have developed your own nonsense logic abt mass popularity). You have buolt some funny fantasies in your little dream world too. Like the thundu podardhu.
Is there anything seriously troubling you or is it just that you are young and you have to grow? If you are at a matured age I would do some introspection dude. Becos it is not a random incident that many people will rebel against your nonsensical behavior. You have carved a niche for yourself here with your bizzare and dubious posts. Seriously you need to sit down wipe out everything in your head. Think abt what being a sport is. Think about how to enjoy this world.

AE - Over hyped. I do not see the Bombay, DilSe ARR in this movie.
The only good song is : Fanah.

Durai..
U CANNOT see Bombay or Dil Se ARR in this movie..
AE's a young film catering to a predominantly young audience. Watch the trailors.. U'll notice how well the songs set the mood of the film.
Since the concept is different... the story is different, the treatment in music is bound to be different!

Curses,
Just because the movie is for youth does not mean the music has to be complicated/non-comprehendable.
ARR has been off late using complex rhythms which does not sound good to my dumb musical ears. I hope its the same for all music lovers of TFM and HFM. I recall Nadeem Sravan (the Hindi MD) quoting ARR is at his worst form now. It is indeed true!!!

I hope the songs of AE are really good, though not excellent.
May be its the situations that demand these songs.
As someone has said rehman could have avoided adnan sami , coz i think theres something missing in the feelings expressed.
but how did go out of reach of maniratnam???? !!

mani cant wait in the night for several days in rahman house. oneday when mani slept, adnan sami sang the song. after finishing rahman went overseas. thats how rahman made adnan sami sang.
other possibilities.
mani would have thought let me edit the adnan sami stanza during film editing.

Guys, please reconsider when posting links to reviews. We rather see established reviewers, people with some connection to music, or having been known as knowledgeable music critics.
Rants and raves of any idiot are just wasting time and bandwidth.
