  KJY was on a flight to India when he came across Swami Raguvaran's postings on newtfmpage.com. On his notebook computer, he first checked his e-mail and then wanted to see the latest discussion on newtfmpage.
  
  "namba mudiyavillai!!!", was his first reaction. After that he did (could) not say anything for a long time. People accompanying him are worried that he might decide to stop singing entirely.
  
  KJY was slated to open the SURYA program in Trivandrum on October 01, 2001, with his kutcheri. Organizers of this program are now scrambling. According to latest reports from Trivandrum, the president of the SURYA program is trying to contact Swami Raguvaran.

  I have been following your discussions on range for a while now and am quite impressed by your knowledge. I have a couple of things I am curious about.
  1. What is your take on the vocal range of Western Tenors? Like Pavarotti or Bocelli or Domingo. They seem to be really hitting the high notes. In fact, Western classical singing has this technique called "passagio" wherein the singer smoothly transitions to his falsetto without a break in voice. And the falsetto is so strong and developed that to the lay listener, it doesn't sound any different from the normal voice. What would your comments be on that? Is that the technique used in Indian vocal classical training too?
  2. What about Kamal Hassan's vocal range as a singer? I feel that he has displayed quite an impressive range over the years.

  Range does not mean high notes alone.Kamal is agreat actor,he sucks big time as a singer.A song is about conveying emotions and not about vocal range etc

  i do not know anthing about shurthi,swaram,etc. still if i listen to cine songs, there is no one who can match the versatility of spb. it is simply amazing and even a lay man will find it.
  the way he sang the shankarabaranam songs invited non listeners of carnatic music to listen. such is the capability of this man.also another gentleman who is behind spb's success story is none other than the greatest tamil musicinan of all time maestor illayraja(please do not compare persons who hvae done hardly 60 films with good amount of recycling with a person who has scored for more than 800 films)it was he who gave spb ample oppurtunities to prove his versatility and today both are in their heights of glory

  I have a confession to make. Till this weekend I had not listened to Kumar Sanu.
  
  On Friday night, I listened to a song by Sanu. I could not believe my own ears. My God! What a voice! What kind of modulation! Real heavy bass in muthalan kattai as well as ettan kattai! Range betwwn 1-37 keys! Simply superb!
  
  As of today, I am changing my opinion. Sanu is the undisputed king of music. Yesterday, today and tomorrow. On earth, in the sky, mars and the whole universe.

  I am writing this to warn about fake person and conspiracy against me.
  
  The person who posted above about EEVEEYAAR is not me, but a fake. He is trying to insult me.
  
  I am not that dumb or ignorant. I know that EEVEEYAAR not a singer but he was a dravida reformer. Friends, please not believe that I said EEVEEYAAR is king of music.
  
  Even though my english is no perfect, I know to write EEVEEYAAR poparly. The guy who did above posting write EEYORE insted of EEVEEYAAR. That means he is not Tamilan. I am sure he is Andhra follower of SPB. He is mad at me because now I thing Sanu is better to SPB. Please do not believe what he say. He is ignoramus.

  Little bit about my self, My name as you can see is Kumar Sanu, My Guru is none other than Padmashree Dr. S.P.Balasubrahmaniam, his voice is so deep with heavy bass, I feel like a woman with squeaky nasal feminine voice, he is the greatest singer in India, but I am the greatest NASALIST in India, unfortunately my sons Udit naryan, Hariharn, Sonu Nigam, Srinivas, Sukvinder Singh & shanker Mahdevan, have all inherited my NASAL voice, I have taken my rather unfortunate children to California , London & Delhi for some throat operations so, at least they will sound 0.01% like my Guru Dr.SPB, but after the operation my children developed a tonsils & became better NASALIST than me, of which am I bit jealous, because I won the national award for being the greatest NASALIST in Indian History, now you can understand why I am jealous of children, can’t you???.
  
  I some time feel & look like a woman when I sing, which I can not help, but I love being women, it is so exciting with feminine voice, I love to sing for aiswariya & Ravenna Tandon, did you me & my children do the recording in streets begging or in the bathroom, unlike professional singer like Dr.SPB.Dr.KJY,DR> BMK. M.rafi & KK, who all record in composing rooms, but me & my children were not allowed, because the door had sign saying “ DOGS NOT ALLOWED”!!!, what a shame, I am disgrace to the Indian community, so me & my children are going to commit suicide, bye!
