Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”

Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.

Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

  have u guys heard abt. the song "gloomy sunday" by an hungarian musicican which inspired 1032 suicides across the world......

  Did you know that Prakash Raj son died sometime back. Prakash being one of my gr8 friends does not deserve this. He is such a gr8 person. I have been feeling bad for sometime now, just wanted to let u know.
  Hopefully he gets enough strength to move on. when i met him in Madras, we were talking about his kid all the time.. such a sweet kid and a good person!!

  i always see this problem with mani.....when he makes movies in 2-3 languages, he does not give importance to the languages other than tamil.......he has selected mehboob for yuva's lyrics which is again a careless move by him.......he shuld not bring Tamil fundas in telugu and hindi.......i dunt know when will it dawn on a genius man like maniratnam......

  Mehboob's a dubbing lyricist! Any Tamil movie made in Hindi will more often than not have Mehboob as the lyricist. :).. Perhaps he's got some kind of a knack. :)

  The music of 'Yuva' composed by maestro A.R. Rahman has settled on top of the tops on the music charts. We hear that while shooting for the zippy number, 'Anjaana Anjaani', actress Kareena Kapoor was running high temperature. And the song also marked Vivek's first day of shoot after his terrible accident on the sets of the same film. In spite of these unfortune physical limitations, the duo managed to shoot the song in one and a half days flat. This is what they call dedication, we guess!

  I am sure sandaikozhi should be for madhavan. Lyrics suggest so.
  Madhavn from his appearance looks like a ruffian of some slum. And there are words like "paayai thalli podum ayya" etc. That suggests the song is for madhavan and esha deol.
  
  by the way i dont think Nenjamellam is for madhavan. It should be for surya...

  man the pictuarisation is incredible...the lighting as in usual MR movie.great here..
  the highlight of the movie is the way Fanaa pictuarised...very innovative..similiar like Pachai Nirame!...
