  wat abt u Prabhu? ... where will u be staying? ... if u havent booked any room in any hotel i wud adviise u to stay at Chola Sheraton or Taj Coramandel since both are pretty close to Woodlands! ;-)

  LLD, sorry for the hiatus in replying to your mail. I am posting the message here as i am not sure you will be checking your mail -box couple of days from today.
  I wont be available for the tfm-page meeting in chennai as i am hooked up with other work. Enjoy guys and let us know how many of you ended in hospital with the ever lasting IR vs ARR talks (Just for fun!).

  Guys please please please give us detailed minutes of the meeting. Most important what food you all ate. How the taste was, the oil content, the ketchups, chutneys, and other fist class side-dishes you got with it.
  
  And collectively you can tell if Woodlands drive-in still has that 100 year old traditional taste?
  
  and yes pls get snaps and some computer arivali can use a scanner in his/her office and post some pics in yahoo or something and give us the link.

  Raj, fret not, am slogging too in blr and that too on nightshift :( Anyway, there's a light at the end of every tunnel.
  
  The precursors to this meeting-up plan were casual meetings with C~P, magix and LLD for over a year. Perhaps its time to take
  
  a quick run-through on those freaky events. LLD first surfaced during The Weekend Thread and made it his sole pre-occupation to clear others doubts. During those endless bus journeys after tiring days in bombay, i would catch up on YM on my mobile,
  
  standing in a jampacked bus and find C~P online. we'd talk casually and I jokingly told him that on my way back, if i didnt
  
  find a seat in the bus, I'd fiddle with YM on sms and if I did find one, I'd sit back and go thru printouts of amusing DF fights. C~P would express concern over reams of office paper getting wasted! It was fun reading his witty replies during those horrendous travels.
  
  The DF got really hot around last Nov as WhyNot, Are Yaar, OISG and the ARR gang(with magix and C~P as unwilling apprentices)
  
  regularly got into knotty situations with the IR gang composed of Kupps, Vel, LLD, Suresh and me as the silent
  
  non-participant. I'd told WhyNot in a mail saying that almost all the IR gang were very reasonable guys, so too most of the
  
  ARR gang and not to take it seriously. WhyNot quoted some run-in with some IR fan and complained of getting cornered by
  
  'Kupps, Sabesan, Suresh, Peeps, Fliflo' etc..most of whom I hardly knew. So I couldnt defend them much but it got really funny in December when the BBC Poll thread started. Now these core members of both gangs were really resembling Congress and BJP during Kargil - they tried to maintain loyalty and also integrity at the same time, mumbling big words like 'patriotism', 'fair ballot' and what not, especially when the air hung heavy with bulk voting! Since the top slot oscillated between both Rakkamma and Vande Mataram, it was really hilarious to see both gangs re-iterate their commitment to playing a constructive opposition party whenever their chosen song fell behind in the race. Thankfully neither song won in the end!
  
  The first time I ran into LLD on YM, we started talking, the usual best songs, best singers stuff. I was quite amaZed that LLD regularly ransacked the archives as often as I did. I'd mention some favorite song of an old DF-er and LLD would promptly rattle off the songs, the thread name and even the URL of the thread within moments. Soon our discussions would easily run to hours. He isnt that casual a guy when u discuss one-to-one, a very sincere and serious follower of music!
  
  Another funny moment was during a chat with C~P, I was telling him that I didnt live far from Fliflo. He asked 'why (did u) not met fliflo?' and I mistook that as 'WhyNot met Fliflo?'! :-))
  
  Without knowing each other well enough once, I, C~P, LLD and magix got into a conference chat once and all hell broke loose shortly! A flurry of messages hit the boards, LLD did some ARR baiting, magix started talking only in verses, C~P tried to pull and break as many legs as possible in the least possible time! It was total mayhem and we decided to meet up more often.
  
  When i got a chance to be in atlanta briefly, just for fun I tried "newtfmpage"+"atlanta" on google, and it retrieved the famous ReUnion thread where magix pitched for Adyar and Sabesan for Atlanta as likely venues for a get-together. (newtfmpage pogaadha oora?) Just then i remembered Sabesan putting some BGM links on his page months ago, his ID was quite peculiar and stuck to my mind, so i visited that page, and while exploring noticed his address. Why, he lived quite close to my place! However I'd never known him before. I dropped him a message on YM without disclosing I was nearabouts. I wondered if he would report me to the cops for some spying work, but he was too nice and contacted me back! :-)) To cut a long story short, I soon enjoyed a nice dinner at his place and we exchanged a lot of stories. There was a pic of him and his family with IR, a chance meeting at bombay airport - naanum thaan oru 15 vaati andhappakkam suththeerukken, oru luck-um illa :(

  Wow - nice recap Prabhu..... i tried to ping u now in YM - probably ur not online - WHY NOT ? !!!!!
  
  Guys have fun in the meeting.... and IR fans do not forget to take hockey bat etc etc etc.... remember the BGM in the movie SHIVA (telugu), and oru kallakku kallakungaaaa :-)..... make sure C~P and magix do not visit the forum for another 2-3 months!!!!!!!!!!!!!
