AR Rahman's Tamil Blockbuster "BOYS"

Rahman's much anticipated "Boys" is set to release soon and everyone is keen on finding out more about this album. Who are the singers? What are the soundtracks like? When is the release date? Will the album be delayed? If anyone has any idea; please post here....

Here is what i found::

Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.

Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.

In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.

Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.

For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

  'Boys' - A Big bang theory!!
  
  A.R.Rehman does it again in his much-awaited movie "Boys". The audio launch happened on 28th of June after so much of crowd's cribbing and dwelling on its audio release.
  
  Looks like Rehman's magic will work for sure this time more than Shankar's earlier movies. What makes so unique about Shakar- Rehman combo? They sync with ideas that could hit straight at the mass and the youth of the present. But why the title "Boys"? That's again a Shanker's direct cutover strategy - Will take any Gal into custody with the magic spelt by Rehman.
  
  'D a t i n g' by Karthik, Timmy, Tippu - A funky little song with load of teasers. Funny lyrics with no double standards. Rehman has done it with style with his usual western notes blended with sudden Carnatic twist all over the song. It has come out so well that it is so lively in conveying what the director wanted to say. Zambian rapper Blazee has penned down his English rap pieces contributing his flavor to the Tamil lyrics by Pa.Vijay.
  
  'G i r l f r i e n d' is one song written by Pa.Vijay that will become the teen's mantra for quite some period. Karthik's voice is a perfect match for the electrifying rhythm (programmed by Praveen mani). It is a foot tapping number and could capture the top spot in all the charts.
  
  Evergreen Vaali has done it too. He is amazing in his words in the song 'Secret of Success'. Vaali, this time targeting almost 2 generations younger audience - The Teens. Lucky ali at his debut and at his best in Tamil. He must have enjoyed working with Rehman - The song sounds so!
  
  There are two songs - 'Maaro Maaro' and 'Ale Ale' written by Kabilan revealing a tremendous potential in him. He has managed to garner everyone's attention through his lyrics in 'Ale Ale'. Adnan Sami in 'Boom Boom' with Sadhna Sargam is another pleasant number filling up the space in the album as a melody.
  
  In total, 'Boys' songs have increased the expectations for the movie more like Shankar's all other earlier movies that have rocked the Box Office. The album is worth the wait and Shankar-Rehman combination still remains a success. 'Boys' seems to be a new big bang theory altogether in the hearts of the music lovers.

  BOYS is truly awesome!
  
  I would rate it as the best album this year followed by HJ's Saamy.
  
  Now I cannot wait to hear Thendral by VS, Thennavan by YSR, Sandiyar by IR and the Mani Ratnam film by ARR.
  
  ARR made some dull lacklustre music with Udhaya and Parasuram but Boys deserves this praise and this comes from a fan who objectively praises good music.

  do you realize what you are saying? you of all the people have lost your right to ask other people to stick to replying to the content, cos I and Maddy were actually doing only that until you came along and made it all personal. now that you have got a taste of your own medicine, you want us to stop. now dont expect us to stop until you stop it.
  
  ARR rulez, and IR sucks, i cant bare to listen to IR's patheticly similar sounding old songs, most of which have the exact same beat. go check it out. listen carefully almost all of IR's hit songs have the exact same beat. for example, the beat used in the song sangeetha megam, its a mohan's movie. you will find the same beat in many of IR's hit songs. if you want i will give you a list of songs.

  as usual ambleen you still have nothing to say so you beat around hte bust and try to avoid taking abt the post or abt IR and start calling names and stuff. so far you have not given one substantial proof abt your statements abt boys. we are waiting.... or do you still want to hide away from that and talk abt something else.... hmmm it seem very likely you will do just that.

  Also the wrap like song(I forgot the lyrics. Most was in English) is similar to some devotional song. Once I remember, I will post it.
  
  In general, I feel the I am familiar with music of Boys when I heard it first. Rare for ARR songs.
