  its very good for the career of ARR to play music like a 'Marriage Orchestra' troupe at the marriage of JJ's then adopted son Sudhakaran-A marriage which was criticised all over tamilnadu. our gr8 Egotist IR wud never do that. cos ' yaar kalayum nakki pozhaikanumndra kattayam avarukku illai'. This is the quality of IR which makes us a real HCIRF apart frm his music.

  Also, I remember an incident when Super* was denied to go in car to his residence and made to walk in Poes Garden ... he was pissed and went to a tea-shop and started smoking ... crowd gathered and there was a big traffic jam ... how far is this true?

  Well, I know for sure that MR went to Shankar Ehsaan Loy for the music of Alai Payuthey before settling down to ARR. This came from Ehsaan himself. But Ehsaan added that after some scratch recording sessions with them, MR went back to ARR.
  
  And yes, I've seen 'Klassenfahrt', the German movie that's the original of Kadhal Konden and am sorry to say that my opinion of Selvaraghavan came crashing down. I never had any opinion about Dhanush anyway, so that is status quo.

  why would MR go to SEL? i know for sure, its because he didn't want any songs, only bgm, and since ARR was very busy starting his bombay dreams project with ALW, MR assumed ARR would not be able to do the music, but he was wrong, ARR came to him as they are the very best of friends, unlike shankar MR would not leave arr.

  Dont make baseless arguments. Can you find atleast one respectable personality who said ARR is arrogant or falsely humble.
  
  For ARR who believes only God gave him creativity and was not self-attained, he will never be arrogant. Well that is not the case of a person, who was born amidst poverty and became a successful tfm composer. To whatever heights he go, he will have this ego or complex within himself and will continue to show it until he realises what it costed him.

  rs, your comments are both baseless and insensitive. We as ARR fans would never write anything as horrible like that about IR, because we love music, all kinds and composers, and we happen to like ARR the most. If ARR has a ego, why does he never take credit for his achievements, rather like the great Michael Jackson, he claims his songs are children gifted from GOD. Please rs have some respect, if you don't feel his music, thats fine, please don't make judgements on his personality, due to the simple fact that you dont know him!

  I am also not a Tamilian,my mother tongue is Kannada.But my admiration for people like Kamalhasan,IR&Manirathnam made me learn the language.Now i am fluent not only in talking but also reading&a little bit of writing in Tamil.

  aaha i didnt attend this post for so long i dunno why...........athukulae enai paarthu Anti-ARR nu sollitaaaangale :( . From Pudhiya Mugam (i was 14 years old then) i had been an ARR fan , when Roja came i thought oh no not another one film wonder boy). Even though i am critical of some of ARR's works post Rhythm till Boys , i always felt happy for ARR's successes........

  Mani has always shot his films and sonmgs in India only and in local places. Only for KM he went to Srilanka because the story was based on that...Itha laam yaarum paraattamaatteenga..aana Maanasthan padathula...gramathuliye valarndha, padikkadha medhai sivaji madiri oru aalu duet foreign locationla paduvaanaam...adha neenga kandukaadhaikku....cha ennama shoot panniyirukkan paa...kalakkal paa nu solluveenga illa?

  Ok, As per the news they say Ayutha Ezhuthu is a flop, but I dont think so, but surely Yuva was ( and i expected it to be coz of the story line that is not inline with Hindi Movie making), Evidence is that Yuva was released in DVD to recover the financial loss as early as 2 months b4, but not AE. Can nebody confirm that, but perhaps, AE was one of the genuinely well made, well scripted movies (barring a few scenes, which I surely dont agree with), it had one of the best entertainment in recent times after PithaMagan.
