Hi Anand,
"also srikanth for some reason is the champion of non IR TFM."
Anand is this a compliment or a ...
If this not a compliment I will try to improve!...
Off late I get angry at everthing.I do not know the reason..I feel it is because of too much Raja praise in here.
From this minute onwards I will limit my comments on any unwarrented Raja fights or ARR fights, At times when I talk against Raja , rarely against ARR --
"En thala nane man podra marni irku..".
Let us discuss music, rather than personalities.
I pray! to god - in days to come Raja bounces back with good songs, without overdose of Arun Mozi, his Asai magal and his voice.

Very good Discussion.
I can't agree with the titles/comments about Raja such as "Isai gyani","Raga Devan","Isai Brama", "He is The Music" , "TFM = IR", etc.....
He is just "Isai Chakravarthy" because he composed the music for more number of films compare to other MDs.Here in this fourm the IR fans/worshipers never agree for this. The all IR fans thought that he is the MD of the century.
Raja is very famous for his Back Ground Music.
I saw a children film "Benji the hunted dog" from Disney. The BG is same as Mouna Ragam. I saw both "Mouna Ragam" and "Benji the hunted Dog" more than 6 or 7 times. The English film was realsed in early 80s. As all you know Mouna Ragam realsed around 84. I started searching Raja's name in the title (ie in the English Film). It was not there. I again watched the movie, I closed the eyes and listened the music. No doubt it was same as Mouna Ragam's BG. Actually the "Benji the hunted Dog" is a story about a dog. There is no dialogues at all in that movie. It requires totally BG more.
Not only in Mouna Ragam, Raja copied in many more movies for BG and for songs.
This itself reveals that Raja is not a big creator of Music/Tunes. It is irrational to worship/support on Raja alone.
Why did we love Raja Music??? because he set a trend in 70s & 80s. Why did we love ARR Music?? he also set a new trend in 90s???
why we will like XXXXX (in the near feature)?? he/she will also going to set a trend later. ( say 2000s or 2001s.. )
If you tell "No one can do music better than IR". It is highly rediculus. In one of the responses Mr.Ganesh gave a valid point. That is realy good. Why I ignored this forum for a long time... because of IR worship.. Each and every thread there is a worship on Raja. I can't agree with that. You people think that I am the new comer to this DF. No.. I was a silent watcher of the Fourm. Now I am posting in this forum because of two reasons.
1. Too much of IR worship..
2. I have less work at office :):):):) !!!!
BTW I am a fan of good music and good lyrics.
I like, liked, and will like Raja's, ARR's, MSV's, Deva's, SK's, SMS's, KR's,YSR's, VS's, VK's....... and whoever it may be... for their good music.
Srikanth,
Arun Mozhi is OK.. I can even tolarate with Raja's voice for some songs like "Raja, Rajathirajan intha Raja", "N-ila adhu vanaththu melE..." ect.. but aasai magaL thaanga mudiyala.

Prakash - You have thrown a huge fire ball now!,
I saw a children film "Benji the hunted dog" from Disney. The BG is same as Mouna Ragam. I
saw both "Mouna Ragam" and "Benji the hunted Dog" more than 6 or 7 times.
To make this clear I will see this moive and comeback! - it should be in Video Update or Hollywood... Can you tell which are the BGM scores he lifted. (scenes),
I consider Mouna ragam BGM has one the best score TFM ever had..It has speed, emotion, clarity moves very well with the story line..
If it is true, my regards to Raja will surely vanish! If not....PB neenga close..close..close (last 2 close are echos)
Srikanth
Can others also do it!....

Search this TV Guide site and search for Benji :
http://www.tvgen.com/movies/database/index.htm
There is one movie called Benji the Hunted and it was released in 1987.
Just this fact negates the canard you try to spread about IR.
Mr. Prakash Balakrishnan, you may have your reasons for hating IR but do not spread your lies here.

Prakash:
Benji the hunted was released in 1987 and Mouna ragam as you said was released in 1984.Please verify things before you say in DF.you trying to say that IR copied most of the BG scores which is highly ridiculous. Why do you blame IR because of IR's blind supporters. Please do not do that mistake again.Ignore those who say IR as "Kadavul" or "Isai porul" ...etc.

You can verify IMDB for benji the hunted.
http://us.imdb.com/Title?Benji+the+Hunted+(1987)
And Mouna Ragam acc to IMDB was released in 1986.

Thanks for the all for pointing out the Year for "Benji The Huntted...". I accept that I was wrong that Benji The Hunted released before Mouna Ragam.
Srikanth,
The total movie is the emotional of the dog which tried to survive 4 wild cats. The BG of the music totally similar to Mouna Ragam. While watching the film I was totally ammazed with the music which was similar to Mouna Ragam. Actually I asked the questions to my friends (Including Rajaraman) about this. I don't know about the Database Page. No one comment about this. I watched the movie in Disney, TBS.
As you said... I am close, close... close...
PG,
I didn't spread lie. Watch the movie.. you will also amazed. Since I didn't know when it was realsed, I put the blame on IR.

Prakash and everyone else:
There are actually 4 or 5 Benji films, and the series began in the mid 70's. I remember seeing the first one in B'lore in 1977 or so. It was about a dog that helps rescue its owner's kidnapped kids. I'd hate it if IR adapted that tune (which as I remember has nothing to do with MR, but then again that was so long ago), but I kinda felt sorry to see Prakash mowed down like that...

Bharat,
I also saw about the sequel(s) about Benji in the URLs given by Sree & PG. The MD for all the Benji movies are same.. His name is Euel Box. I can't defend myself because I didn't see those films. Those films are "For the Love of Benji " & "Benji ". The film you saw in B'lore wast For the love of Benji. I got the story line from URL given by PG. As you mentioned These stories are about the dog named Benji and not related to MR.
This doesn't mean that IR never copied from Western. This is the one I saw, so I talked about that. Still my point is valid that Raja did copy from Western for his songs.

Hi Everybody:
I could also see that there are 4 Benji Movies. The foll link will show that:
http://us.imdb.com/M/title-substring?title=benji&tv=both
they are:
1.Benji (1974)
2.Benji the Hunted (1987)
3."Benji, Zax and the Alien Prince" (1983) TV series
4.For the Love of Benji (1977)
Now if you say other three of them which came before Mouna Ragam had the same BG score i agree to your argument. But prakash noticed MR type of BG only in 1987 Benji movie.
Now the guy who scored 1987(Euel Box) Benji movie should have got inspired by our IR BG for MR.

Prakash:
I will not be glad as everyone will not be if i come to know that IR has copied some song scores from Western music. But i will be suprised to see it for a BG score, because i still rate IR BG score as the best in India compared to other MD's in India.I would certainly appreciate your efforts if you can find any such Inspirations.
Thanks
Sree

sree and others:
In general sequels to films tend to carry the musical themes forward. For instance, the musical themes in Star Wars, Superman, godfather etc. were carried on to their sequels too. That's why I thought Prakash may have a point. If he heard the tunes in a Benji sequel, there's a very strong possibility that they are in the original too.
If anyone can get hold of the earlier soundtrack/film I'd be really interested in knowing whether Prakas's observations are true. Not that it would diminish my esteem for IR's musical capabilities, but I'd definitely be extremely disappointed.
