  Sorry to post most of this again, but have you forgotten me? Please help.
  
  1) I've seen a response on the song 'MALARGALE MALARGALE' from the film LOVEBIRDS (MD is ARR), the voilin duo Ganesh-Kumaresh have said that this is in the raagam "POORIYA DHANAASRI". Can anyone confirm this? Govindan, have you got any information on this ragam and it's presence in the song?
  
  2) The song 'En Kaadhal Nerrupe pattri kolla vaa vaa' form the film OTTAM (MD is ARR) sounds like Dharmavathi, is this correct? Also, Minnal Oru Kodi from VIP takes the Melakartha Dharmavathi, but isn't pure Dharmavathi....as said before, it's not Siva Ranjani....please can someone tell me what the actual ragam of this song is?
  
  4) Last one for the time being, 'Porul Thedum Bhoomiye' from the film KALKI (MD is Deva).....Is this in Karuna Ranjani? Ramaswamy and Govindan, you're the experts, please help me.....

  Are you talking about the song 'Maanida
  sevai dhrohama' or another song in the same movie
  that is in Bilahari(Don't remember the words for
  this). 'Maanida sevai dhrohama' song starts with 'Pancha nadeesa pahimam'(????) and then changes
  to 'Maanida sevai'. Is this one also in Bilahari?
  Is there any Carnatic song starting with 'Pancha nadeesa pahimam'?

  SORRY for the confusion guys, MAANIDA SEVEI is in Poornachandrika - The same ragam as :
  PAAHIMAAM SRI RAJA RAJESWARI KRUPAHARI SHANKARI.
  
  I couldn't remember the Bilahari song, but it's now come back to me (Nee Onru thaana), thanks to Rajaraman. Also, Rajaraman, about the Porul Thedum Bhoomiye (Kalki), I never thought of Revathi, I'll try on the keyboard when I can, I felt, by ear, that it had even more notes (Revathi being pentatonic - maybe this song contains a few accidentals), also, listening to the Alabanai on that by Sudha Ragunathan, I didn't catch Revathi in it, however, the actual song continues differently. Did you find out about Karuna Ranjani? (There is a Mutthaya Bhagavathar composition in this raga, OM NAMO NARAYANA - I have it sung by Sudha Ragunathan and TN Seshagopalan). As Revathi and Sivaranjani are a tonal shift of each other, they can sound the same at parts, as with Karuna Ranjani, has those touches too.....Thanks for your help.
  
  Anand: Thanks, You are right about the Pooriya Dhanasri, but could it in anyway have a part in the Malargale song? I was wondering if anyone knew a raga of a similar name which was a cross between Saraswathi and Hamir Kalyani, as per the song.....

  I remember "paahimaam sree raaja rajeswari" as Janaranjani. Is there a Poornachandrika version too?
  
  Re "porul thedum boomiyil", I have to listen to it again to confirm your finding. I also feel there are more than 5 notes in this song.

  The Ravichandrika song is 'Niravathi Sugkatha'. The Janaranjni song is 'Paahimaam Sri'

  Does any one here remember when Visvanathan-Raamamoorthi colaborated after a huge absence in the film 'ENGIRUDHO VANTHAAN' (Sathyaraj/Naghma)?
  
  The song of the same name 'Engirundho Vanthaan Yaadhava Kulathil Maadhavan Madhusoodan', I believe is in the rare ragam 'GAANA HEMAVATHI', it is a bit similar to ABHERI, but has the Prathi madhymam coming in prominently (it has no Hemavathi touch either)......They sing the swaras for it too. Has anyone got another name for this raga, or anything on the contrary? Thanks in advance....

  As for Behag, I think there are some old songs in this raga and many a classical piece, particularly the Lalgudi Thillana which is excellent, however I haven't heard any new songs in it. Guys, please help us investigate for old songs.....

  Ramaswamy: I think 'Hello My Dear' is in DHARMAVATHI - Madhuvanthi is a derivative of this Melakartha. Can anyone confirm this? I'm 99% sure of Dharmavathi.

  Hindhusthani music calls Dharmavathi as Madhuvanthi
  The notes are same for both but the style in singing is slightly different.
  
  Hello My Dear is Dharmavathi.
  Also I can say few songs in dharmavathi
  aAmanai in Avan than manithan is also a good dharmavathi.
  The Medum Medum va in Vikram is also dharmavathi.

  Some has refered to Puria danashri - it is a hindustani raga, Carnatic calls as Panthu varali.
