  I liked Nithyashree's number too..her voice gave the song its character...good work by HJ too but he has to fine tune and bring out his style..otherwise he's too ARRish...

  I heard for the first time, after you guys setting big expectations....
  I doubt if these were written by film producer himself trying self propaganda.
  
  Man, None of the song is Impressive.
  I will try to listen another time, but I doubt,

  Juz wanna say something to those of u who r trying to compare between Samurai songs & Kannathil Mutthammittal songs. First of all, before doing any comparison, u should consider wat type are both movies about. For KM, it isnt much of a commercial movie if compared to Samurai which may appear to be another teen love movie. Therefore, u cant expect both songs composed for both movies to be the same or better. In KM, the songs r mostly used as BGM rather being picturized as if it was sung by the hero in the movie. In Samurai, the songs r most probably used for the hero & heroine. So, plz think before coming with "silly" comparisons !

  Some of the blind fans are still support HJ is good then ARR.I have the strong evidence to say like this

  Gulmuhar malare(majnu)-similar as-Pachai nirame

  Oru punnagai poove(12B)-similar as-kikku eruthe

  Aagaya sooriyan(samurai)-similar as-anbe anbe

  dingu dong(samurai)some music from enna solla pogirai(kandukonden.k)
  
  I'm also heard one song in minnale similar as thom karuvil irinthom(star),which song is realease earlier than minnale.the song is too short.
  
  HJ always do this mistake in every album.HJ modify the ARR tunes and make it better than
  ARR.AS a result,some stupid fans loves HJ music.

  HJ has even copied Deva. In 12B teh song Poove VAi Pesum Podhu is based on Pulveli Pulveli from Aasai.

  This is useless.........the songs from Samurai ARE good. HJ is a good md...ok, many songs sound similar...but who's complaining...they sound good. as soon as you get ARR, or anything that sounds like AAR (HJ) then everyone hates them and condems their music.

  Samurai is one of the better effort from Harris Jeyaraj after Minnalae. I really enjoyed all the songs in the movie. I can clearly see a future where HJ, Eman, Yuvan, Barani ruling the TFM.
  
  ARR should retire from TFM. I feel he can do a better sound engineer job for Andrew Lloyd Weber.

  Samurai isn't that bad....it's very mediocure...but i do like "Oru nadhi..oru pournami"...themusic is qiute different...and the way the singres have sung it is really great....it's vey upbeat...suitable for dancing...

  HJ Copy cat of ARR, then ARR is a copy cat of mutiple souces, Deva too. Why blame HJ. Everybody is doing the same job. Dont just blame HJ.

  Hey stupid NCR if HJ wants to copy english song i not a big problem but why he copied ARR tunes.
  
  NCR mind your words before said anything...
  
  why HJ not copying Deva,Ilayaraja,MSV.U can see where is the music power.I also don't know why HJ get award for minnale & 12B.I think they don't know that HJ is copied ARR tunes & english songs.
  
  I proud of Yuvan's music because he is not copycat like HJ.He come in his own way but HJ is
  come in ARR way by copycat the ARR tunes.
  
  i'm storngly want say that....
  Next ARR is must be YUVAN not HJ....
  Remember that...man
  
  HJ alway come with oh..oh..oh humble....in his song.
  
  in samurai album i can heard some music souces from (sanggamam,kadhal Desam,kandukonden.k,jeans & more)
  
  Some beats of (oru nadhi,samurai) song is copied by (Laila collage laila,Kalluri Vasal )

  HJ will never amount to anything. The only true upcoming talent in TFM is Yuvan for his catchy beats and fast numbers. He doesn't have to steal from ARR in order to be compared with ARR. His music says it all.!

  The ppl on this forum are becoming more and more digressive- for gods sake- listen to the music!! everyone is stereotypin md's. for gods sake, just listen to their bloody music. appriciate the qualities, and point the faults- but dont just dismiss it. i dont understand, how one fan sayin Yuvan is brilliant, can also say HJ is useless.its amazing- wen ARR's Parthale Paravaasam came out, most ppl hated it- but it was one of his best- musically, it was fantastic- no one has done stuff like that- i can understand why ppl didnt like it, but you cant say that ARR is going downhill. with HJ, Samurai is a nice albulm. its not one that hits u on first hearing, but after repeated hearing, you appreciate the music, and begin to realise how nice the songs are.

  Yesterday, I listened to Samurai thru Raagaa. I could see the similarity that I came to know from this forum about that Aagaya Surian and anbe anbe song. I was not very much impressed by whole of the album. Again, he tried to imitate ARR here and there, but that Oru nadhi song was really amazing. Nithya shri was in her best. Even today morning, I was humming that song. I am really impressed with this song alone, but my deep brain says that there is one song which is very similar to Oru nadhi. I am not getting it, but my RAM/ROM/Harddisk is fully engaged searching for any evidence of its trace.
  But, Oru nadhi is one exceptional song. Good work.

  Well, from reading the comments, people do not seem to appreciate the music of Harris Jeyaraj. In fact, I am a big fan of H. Jeyaraj and A.R. Rehman. Personally, I think they both have their own styles. Sometimes, the thoughts and styles of MDs just happen to be coincidental. Harris's all albums have captured my interst. Also, the fact, Harris was in ARR's group and that may have certain influences on Harris's music. Therefore, it does not mean that Harris duplicates or modifies ARR's music. Harris has introduced new styles in his music. Especially, the song "VASEEGARA" was a big success. If it was a copy of ARR, people would not have liked it. SO, please do not just make comments with closed mindedness. Thanks
