Pithamagan BGM

I am very anxious to get the early reviews for this film. Anyone who has already seen this movie, please be sure to post the review and mainly the BGM by the maestro.

Every technician and every actor big and small comes in for commendation for his contribution to Evergreen Movie International's "Pithamagan" the much-awaited flick that has turned out to be a symphony on celluloid. And at the top of it all is its creator Bala.
  
  The king is at it again so keep away folks, says Ilaiyaraja's mesmerising rerecording feast. The captivating numbers vouch for the fact that the Raja reigns supreme.
  
  Even prudes who easily dismiss anything desi should watch the "Pithamagan" in action — because when diligence and intelligence go hand in hand, they deserve to be recognised and lauded.

  If MR is for IR, I am sure Kamal will make IR to compose. But that and all will not happen. ARR's music has much marketablity than IR's now. So MR will not dare to leave ARR, even if he wants to.

  When MR leaves IR and tries ARR, he is a traitor. katchi marittar.

  What nonsense! Come and see in Hollywood. M Night shyamalan uses different technicians in each of his films. So does quentin tarantino. In Hollywood you can NEVER EVER expect magazines to write bullsshit crap like "Spielberg had a fight with George Lucas and thats suspected as the reason for him going to another company for graphics"
  
  Here we are all waiting to bad-mouth cine people. I am sure(take this from me as written) there will be katchi marina celebration if Mani "opts" for IR not because ARR is bad but because the subject of the film with kamal would require IR (Nayakan deja-vu)

  I agree with you abt the makkal mentality. But still, if MR goes for MD based on storyline, he should have used IR for Iruvar & KM, those movies deserves much better BGM's. On other hand, using ARR for TT, Roja etc is apt choice. (GUYS, DONT START ARR/IR FIGHT AGAIN. ITS JUST MY OPINION)
  
  I guess there is some difference between MR and IR but still both have good opinion abt others. Thats y, they dont want to work together and didnt talk bad abt each other. Thats y, MR used KR for DumDumDum.
  
  There is no hope that MR will be using IR anymore. But chances are there for Yuvan, either for him or his banner movies.

  Another main reason for sticking with ARR, he can earn most of the money from copyright of the songs all over india/world and then use it for producing the film.

  As of now AR Rahman has more commercial value. Manirathnam movies and pretty much remade or dubbed in Hindi and in Hindi the name of AR Rahman does sell a lot more than the name of IR (Sorry to say this, IR fans but it is a fact). Probably that is the reason why Manirathnam wants AR Rahman. On top of that AR Rahman, does really a good job when it comes to the likes of Manirathnam/Shankar/Ramgopal Varma. I dont think this has got anything to do with their personal relationships or fights etc...

  Even IR was doing good job for all MR movies. So I dont agree with u point. But do agree,

  Suhasini(MR wife) do have very high respect for IR but uses ARR for her movie, which justifies above point.

  MR and ARR gel so well and they are the best pair. So there is no reason MR needs to go for IR.
  
  Yes I agree that IR was more apt for Iruvar, but still ARR did a magnificent job and artistically speaking it stands as my favorite album/film of all time of all languages!
  
  I know people called Iruvar a docimentary. but I watched the movie screened in a foriegn country and the applase in the end was remarkably there was also tea and discussions after the movie and the experts (mostly europeans) just raved on and on about that movie.
  
  Historically it may have been faulty or whatever. But It still is the best and most poignant movie that has come from India. Ofcourse all IMHO

  Vikram never rendered any dialogue for 2.5 hrs. But all he did is acting, acting and acting. Superb! Music and BGM extremely good. No words. Please remove Simran's appearance from the movie, which has no significance to the story. Could have include fresh song instead of mix of old songs. I doubt people will cry for her to dance in the middle of 'forest'. Other than this, PM made prime setting in the current trend of showing Alphanso's belly button and Ponnamblam's fight. Cudos BALA & IR !

  Maybe Spielberg uses different technicians. But when it comes to composing he always sticks to John Williams.

  there are two film makers who give tremendous scope for music in the West - Speilberg and James Bond franchise.
  
  My dream and goal is have IR come up something greater than John Williams Indiana Jones theme and a James Bond song and A NEW BOnd theme that beats them all. If I can do it say in 5 years, I will. That will be the greatest moment in all my life worth any knowledge or any other riches i can acquire!!

  IMO Punnagai Mannan's theme, Agni Natchitaram's theme, Anjali's theme, Shiva's theme rank among the world's best sound tracks alongside Bond's theme and Indiana jones' themes. Especially considering the amount of time John Williams takes( 2 to 6 months) and the orchestral resources he gets, IR's scores rank equal to his scores. Besides John Williams focuses just on BGM, but IR has done an amazing array of songs. IR has already done so much in music that is stuff of dreams for many composers worldwide. Imagine his technical resume in terms of publications 800 Journal articles! (for every omniscient great song in each of his movies) 1600 conference articles!(for every average to good song in each of his movies) and 850 Books! (for the BGM of every movie he has done). And then he goes on to give a Pithamaghan in 2003, when is supposedly not in his peak!
