We also like PJ.PS consider him as younger brother ..true.. PJ sung lots of good songs in tamil too . All that we will open a seperate thread and discuss about his songs. I think, that will be the positive attitude.. If U keep posting about PJ in this thread, all feel uneasy . This thread is exclusivley for PS and PS fans. Pl. understand.

PS always a favourite for KJY , SPB and other singers too. She maintained the good relationship with almost all singers . We are also trying to maintain the same decency , pl. avoid comparisions.

IF PJ is the biggeste fan of PS, then let him write about PS and her songs. Not you guys writing about PJ in this thread.

As Kalai and many others said, this thread is meant to share PS's songs. I hereby request the fans of other artists to open one more exclusive thread in their fav's name and sharepost the information. NOT HERE :-)

Classic duet by PS+PJ is "KaaLidaasan KaNNadaasan Kavidhai nee" from SoorakOttai Singakutti (MD IR)

Some more
1. From "Pagal Nilavu".. In this song PS has sung only 2 lines....of course MD is IR :-((
2. From "Thiramai" MD SG... Song "En paatu pudu mettu"
3. A film acted by Mohan + Saritha... The climax song was by this combo. MD: Shyam (guess) and Direction by Mouli (?)
4. Another Mohan film "Deiva Piravi" with Radhika and Orvasi... There is an avg duet by PJ+PS

I think am getting old... so not able to fill up many places :-)

Ssaravanan or Kalai can fill it up please :-)

Sorry, I seem to have made a mistake- The JC-PS duet from 'Iasikku Oru Kovil' is 'Thirunaalum varumo swami' and not 'Azhaganavan Sri Balakrishnan'- Subbu, I too seem to be getting old :-)

Subbu- the Pagal Nilavu song is 'Poovile medai naan podava'

Kalai-
'Kalaimagal alaimagal malaimagal moovarum ulavidum raathiri Navarathiri' is a lovely song from 'Velliratham'-1979. MD-MSV. In the film, the song is by Vijayakumar and KRV.

'Penella nee oru bommai, poialla naan solvathu unmai'-is from 'Sondhamadi Nee Enakku'-1977-MD-VK. I think Jaishankar and Sripriya.

'Sindhu nadhiyoram' is from 'Malargalile Aval Malligai'. It is a very melodious song. MD-GA.
I don't think the film was released. It had a superb JC-SJ duet also-'Poovey malligai poovey'

Another mediocre JC-PS duet is 'Aathangarayil oru roja' from Orey Muththam-MD-IR.

Kalai,

To me, KJY and PJ singing style are more or less same... and PS syncs very well with most of singers incl. PJ (Esp, KaaLidaasan KaNNadaasan, UdhadugaLiL unadhu peryar...etc). A very good combo PS+PJ.

Subbu, Enakku orey oru blank thaan fill panna mudiuthu- the Mohan, Saritha film was 'Nalam Nalamariya Aaval'-1984. Most probably directed by Mouli, for at that time there was a spate of films produced by Jayadevi, directed by Mouli and music by Shyam. I remember there was a SPB-SJ duet in it, but neenga solra climax paattu- gnabagam varalle :-(

Similarly, though I remember 2 SPB-PS duets (Mounam ennum and Nil nil nil) from Deivappiravi, I don't remember the JC-PS song.

rara, thanks for reminding 'Odum nadhigalil'from Sarigamapa, which was never released. I also remember the dreamy SPB solo from Sarigamapa-'Ninaivile manaivi endru' which was played almost daily on Ilangai Vaanoli in 1983.

Another JC-PS duet from an unreleased film is the lovely 'Kodi ennangal'-the film's name was 'Aval Oru Kaviyam' MD- V Kumar.

I just thought of another superb JC-PS duet'Naan medhuvaaga thodukindra pothu, kann mayangamal iruppalo madhu' from Unakkum Vaazhvu Varum-1978.MD-S-G.

I remember a song from Nalam Nalamariya Aaval , which starts like "Kovam Eno En Rasavukku" , a duet with Unnimemnon (or PJ ?!!)
PS has 5 songs in DeivaPiravi " mounam ennum raagam" , "nil nil nil ilamthendrale" , "Poovai oru poo entru", "marappu potta ponne" and "paanayile paalirukku aadai mattum melirukku " . None of this song is with PJ. "Maarappu Potta ponne " is with MVD .

Anyone remembers a movie "Paadi vaa nilave" ? It has a PS+PJ duet starts like " O! kaadhale "..
