  I have proved both of my points. First Rajini fans are immatured. Second no defence for the quality of movie. There is a difference between "Quality of a movie" and "Success of a movie". I am talking about first. You are talking about second. So come out with better defence. It
  I am a fan who appreciates movies that are little sensible. Not movies where heroes chappel hit the villain and come back to his feet. Totally senseless. If you are a fan of those kind of movies better don't waste your time with me. Discuss it with your 'Rajini fans'.

  I was kind of depressed after watching this movie.
  It is time for RK to retire. After 25 years in this field, i never expected this crap from RK sir. Usually magazines will write good about Rajini movies even though it has -ve points since Rajini has many fan bases. Lots of RK fans would buy that magazine if the review is written well. This is not a story. This is true. I have 3 or 4 rajini fanatics as my friends who used to buy any magazines even Mutharam, if there is a small word of appreciation about Rajini. But All magazines lashed BABA. Even Rajini fans were depressed after seeing this movie. No 'Theeni' for Baba 'Yaanai'. Director should be hung upside down for 1 month for this movie. 150 minutes complete waste.

  i was sayin that success of a movie is determined by its collections/number of days it has run.......judging the quality of the movie is left for the "rasigars" to judge......i don think i said if a movie runs then it is very good

  yes u r rite.....i must discuss with other 'Rajni' fans! :) ..... btw wat did u expect from a RK movie?? .... a paalum pazhamum/puthiya paravai kinda thing??? .... RK cant do all those movies man.....going by wat u say u wont like even one RK movie which has come in the last 6-7 yrs

  Rajini movies run anywayz no matter whether it is good or bad for his star value. Just like MGR was winning elections even when he was physically not present in TN. India is known for hero worshipping. That's why we have Rajini, Chiranjeevi, Rajkumar.. Fans are ready to give their life to them when the movie doesn't run well. Rajini has established his fan base. No matter how bad the movie still it will run for considerable number of days. Especially since Rajini acts after 3 years. He has about 20,000 fan clubs i believe. All of them would see the movie atleast thrice or four times. That's why Rajini movies alone should not be judged based on how many days it run. A movie is said to be completely successful when it satisfies both box office and the film critics. I heard Baba is forced to run in certain theaters. Lots of magazines have criticized the movie for showing both theism and atheism in a gross manner. I also agree with that. Neither a theist nor an atheist would like this movie. Watch Sri Ragavendara. A far better film directed by S.P.Muthuraman. The rap songs about Baba that you hear while Rajini fighting make one wonder what in hell Rajini was thinking when Rajini chose him as a Music Director. Unnecessary introdcution of Ramya Krishnan is another failure in plot development.
  Baba is one movie which fails in all levels. Rajini is returning money to theater owners and by delaying the payment he is forcing the owners to run the movie for 50 days. It has not satisfied critics, not satisfied average fan, not satisfied even some of the rajini fans. Would you call this movie a successful one?

  ok....now to ur question....
  all the returning of the money business is coz those theatre ppl spent soooooo much money for BABA.....but the movie din do as well as expected.....dats y i have been maintaining that it is a flop by RK standards.......but when u see the movies collection its simply amazing
  i fully agree when u say dat all RK movies do well irrespective of the fact that whether or not tis good....same was the case with MGR....dats y invariably all their movies are successes! :)
  but....IMO film critics can judge only the quality and not a movies success
  
  and....abt that Raghavendra stuff.....i had some of my friends referrin to BABA as sumthin similar to "Palayathamman" :) ..... if RK does those kinda movies now leave alone the fans....even the distributors wudnt dare to buy it! :) no doubt tis a good movie....but.... such is his image now mann......hes got into a shell

  ayyo ennoda time ellam waste aachu inda padam paarthu.padathukku, edukkume sambandam illai.. ellam udal reel udara mari irundudu. no practiclality. it was one hell of an unreal movie. i can understand if they show unreal fights. we have been used to it. adukunnu ippadi ya? Paambu payudu pa .. ayyo !!! adavum namma rajni sir computer animated paamba paarthu bayapadardu oru vishesham..tamizh nadu lerndu imaya malaikku appadiye 2 seconds lai poiduver awar. periya aal pa!! especially the way he reaches imaya malai was funny and totally unreal.Ramyakrishna comes and mistakes him to be padayappa :)) what a joke.. may be he cud have introduced one more guy who mistakes him to be Alex Pandiyan from moondru mughangal( if i remember the movie name right)..I remember my school day Dramas when u used to think about such funny scenes.I absolutely donot understand why Goundamani is in the movie. There is no contribution to Humour from him.Vivek wud have been a better choice..The japanese ponnu is probably introduced to show that he has fans in japan as well.But Movie probably isnt the right place for that.The idea of the movie is totally childish..i wanted to cry after i saw the movie.I am not agains RK.I loved Arunachalam Muthu etc..But this movie was horrible.I doubt if rajanikanth ever showed it to people before he released it or thot of spending money over it.
