ARR is one crazy guy who thinks international audiences are tasteless guys. This crappy compilation will surely bomb. It is the worst compilation i have heard in all my life. All the songs are bomb. Singing is irritating. Lyrics are even more irritating. This funny english accent sucks. This trial and error man ARR will soon fall flat.

jj, are you out of your medication? , I see you are going insane again again. Moon is also moving around this might also be a cause, however technically I would say there are few things out of its places in you, better be careful, I had to treat a similar patient called uthaman, poor guy missed medication and had problems with RHS
(Rahman hating syndrome). This developed in mutilple personality syndrome using which he got into cheap activities. So take your medication so that you behave well in public forum.
take care!. Dont forget your medication!.

Webber probably heard a SJanaki song of Deva and he was enchanted! 3 rows of girls with a demure girl singing in a abnormally high pitch voice. If this composer thinks the heaven of Rahman, then surely it must have been one Deva song that got him interested in Indian films. any suggestions?!!!!

So many arguments and anti-arguments with not even a single guy coming up saying "Yes! An Amazing Effort from ARR kinda statement, which is by default they do for other ARR albums. Something is seriously wrong??? JJ seems to be getting it!!!

some newspaper said, ARR was relocating in London for another year? So, he is back in Chennai. Huh? That is good news. I have a feeling we might see a renewed composer here! Wish him best of luck. So, who is next for musicals? Karthik Raaja or HJ? Interesting. But, this is what I fear. Rahman might not be interested to go west again! Just like IR, who made visits to France and so on and in 1993 composed Symphony but came back to do better, bigger and wilder compositions!!!!!!! The orchestration of IR has got even more complicated, because of his visits abroad. But, tell me how does one write an orchestra score for a song in half a day and yet have much strucutre and layers than what someone else takes a month on one song???! Does a musical experience solve that mystery??????? For the last several centuries, only the Ramanujan of music has the answer!

Well IR had the natural gift of capturing delightful tunes from thin air. I dunno how to tell. He is a genius!! as simple as that. I never even thought i would remember some of his songs this long!!! Other day i saw the movies "Thamizh" and "Thamizhan". Thamizh songs were ok. But i couldn't recall any of them within one hour. Thamizhan songs sucked. But i can recall the song "Siru Ponmani" from Kallukkul Eeram. I listened to that an year back after nearly 17 years. I didn't forget any lines!! He is great!! Unparalleled

When you listen to a song for the first time it should arrest you!! Illayaraja scored so many such songs. I don't recall any song from KM. When the song "Hero" by Enrique Iglesias came out i listened to it. I instantly liked it. I listened to it for the first time. I liked it. That's how a song should be. It should not be like after repeated hearing it will force you to like it. I don't recall any songs of the recent tamil junk movies i saw. Tamizh, Tamizhan.. A bunch of "Gnansunyams" like ARR, Deva... take tamil music to new low with their disgusting tunes.

Only a gnyaana sooniyam like YOU will pass stupid statements like this.
IR only produces rubbish.
Why do you listen to 17 year old music if he can still produce good music.
You are not only tone deaf, but stupid as well.
Morons like you should not pass statements on geniuses. You are fit for IR only.

I know you are self critical of yours. You don't have show the whole world with your name. Come on IR won't be a competitor for his sons!! Even now Hey Ram's song Nee Partha Parvaikku is far better than any of the junk ARR songs!! I listened to it more number of times than all the ARR songs put together! He is a genius!! He will always be a genius!!! I cannot tell one song of ARR after Roja that instantly arrested me. All junk songs!!
MIX AND MATCH KING ARR!! hahaha TRIAL AND ERROR KING ARR.

A rather interesting post about Bombay Dreams by an American, in the ARR fans group.
Just saw Bombay Dreams - INCREDIBLE!
Ok, Mr. Rahman you now have a new convert! Whilst preparing for my first-ever trip to London, I began scanning the web to see what shows were playing, and saw that my old favorites Rent and Miss Saigon were both no longer playing. I faced the choice of seeing Les Mis for the 10th time, or trying out something new. I settled on Les Mis once again, My Fair Lady, and The Lion King. But the ads for Bombay Dreams looked interesting, so I checked on tickets for a show 2 weeks away. When I discovered I could get a 2nd row ticket on a Monday night, I was conflicted. This must mean that the show was a bomb, as such a great ticket
would surely not be available at such a late date for a hit? With great trepidation I booked the ticket anyway. I had LOVED the Bollywood influences in "Moulin Rouge", my favorite film of last year, and decided it was worth taking a risk. On the plane flight to London, I discovered that "Bombay Dreams" was on the cover of British Air's in-flight magazine! Maybe I had made a good choice afterall?
Getting to the theatre my second night in London, I really didn't know what to expect. When the lights dimmed and the music began, I immediately knew I'd made the right choice. Usually, I need to hear a piece of music a few times to decide whether it really appeals to me, but the music in "Bombay Dreams" was immediately and absolutely accessible. The staging and choregraphy were AMAZING, and the choice of Ayesha Dharker as Rhani was a masterstroke. She was MESMERISING, so much so that I had a difficult time focusing on anyone else when she was anywhere near the stage. The role of Akash featured an excellent actor with a rather weak voice, but his actingabilities
made up for his lack of vocal strength. The major cast members were all excellent, with Dalip Tahil as Madan being the other standout. JK was a bit cheesy, but acceptable.
At many times in the show, I was moved to tears by the beauty of the music and the amazing choregraphy. At the end, I was so enamored of the show that I knew I HAD to see it again before my week in London was over, so I immediately booked tickets for my only free evening, the following Saturday night. On the 2nd viewing, the show was even better!
I of course rushed out to buy the soundtrack CD and a CD single of Shakalaka Baby. Now I'm gonna check the web for other works by Mr. Rahman.
Sincerely,
Mikel Orsborn

An U.K.guy had to say something....
We make lots of wrong choices in our life. One such choice i made was under the influence of one of my indian friend, was to visit the Bombay dreams show. In plain english it sucked. Orchestration was nothing but ordinary. Bollywood choreography is usually stunning with rich ornaments. Usually the heorines look stunningly beautiful. But this show was nothing but big disappointment. Music is ordinary. Lyrics are even worse. Most of all it was disappointingly organized. Totally a forgettable experience.

i think all ir fans are demb and deaf guys only lamenting about a worthless idiot. what new did the local ir do. Neither in his music nor in finding any talents. whereas the greatest muscian of the world ( everyone knows who he is, if ur not able to find u are an ir fan{deaf & dumb} )
took indian music to the international level. Salute the master. Hit ir with the ***

whom to believe these days ;--) but, who knows if ARR will do another musical! so enjoy it. i am sure 2 and half years for a dumb musical is a record, that too only now they feel it can go a total of 9 months. first, from 6 months they brought it down to 3 mths then it went up to 9 months. yenna idhu dow jones nenappa saar indha Mr. ALW ikku.
Anoither musical offering ARR can neatly escape the high demands of Indian films for another 3 years! Just kidding folks. Sincere effort of Rahman is lauded but nothing pecial about it.
