Simply mind-blowing
November 20
Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

Sony Music returns to southern films
D GOVARDAN
TIMES NEWS NETWORK[ MONDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2004 12:59:17 AM ]
CHENNAI: After a near-disastrous entry 18 months ago, Sony Music is re-visiting southern film industry. It has picked up the audio rights for ace director Maniratnam’s latest Tamil flick Ayutha Ezhutthu (also being made in Hindi as Yuva), which has A R Rahman’s music score.
The film is being produced by Madras Talkies and is set for May 21 release. The audio of the movie will be launched on March 15.
But, the audio rights of Yuva has not been picked up by Sony, which has gone to Venus. According to industry sources, Venus offered a much bigger price and bagged the title. The Tamil film music market has had some good hits in the recent past with titles like Thiruda Thirudi, Boys and Kaakka Kaakka propping up the falling audio sales, officials of Sony Music Entertainment said. “The sound track of Ayutha Ezhutthu is quite good and there are glimpses of Rahman all through. Adnan Sami and Shankar Mahadevan, besides Rahman, has sung for the film,” they added.

SONY ya nenaichcha paavama irukku. I guess they are going to lose the money they made from KHNH. Because of its hindi version,Yuva, they would have agreed to releaase the tamil version too. Otherwise after disastrous Kathal virus and arr's recent track record of tamil albums, I don't think they will go for it.
So one more thundu for SONY from arr!

Yes, Nattamai has a valid point, since the audio companies lost heavily from Boys and Virumandi, IR and ARR have been put to ignore by TFM.
Now as per his conviction its a triangular fight for the top spot by Aaadithyan, Sirpy and Vidyasagar.
Since Vidyasagar launched himself globally with Dhool by using the Barbie girl song, Nattamai feels He would get there first but aadityan and Sirpi do have some prestigious projects hence TFM is becoming like a share market.
We have paid an undisclosed amout to Mr.Nattamai to promote out MD's and Bad mouth the others.
Great he is doing it perfectly.
Guys another happy news, Aadityans kitchen killadi program is rated as number 2 in Norway, just to prove a point that our players are going global.
This is a golden time for TFM and T-series will assure you best services through our agent Nattamai.
Thanks,
MD.

Sorry forgot to mention,
Sirpy will be travelling to Lebanon to personally lift some tunes.
Just wait for him to come back and watch our agent Mr.Nattamai speak about it.
All other MD's only Thundu, Sirpi will rock!

T-Series:
hahaha that is funny.
Yes, please include arr to your list of Aadityan and Sirpy. Leave VS to the HJ, YSR group, I think that sums up everything.

Mr.Nattamai,
Lets not bring our internal disputes here.
If you're unhappy with our contract you may visit us in person.
We are launching only Aadityan, Sirpy and VS and not ARR.
Please do your job perfectly.
You are a spokesperson for our projects and not for HJ or YSR. And playing double games is not trustworthy to our terms.
Anyways, i am very happy for what you were doing these days, we are glad we may have you as a permanent spokesperson.

Just bad mouth anybody we point and you win heck a lot of Money.
Just watch for his posts to come and you may know the clue, the more aggresive you are the bigger your reward.
Thanks,
MD, T-Series.

Though it had a couple of peppy numbers from Rahman, the film was a complete flop show and bombed at the box office.
Even though Sony then planned to slowly spread to other regional language markets in the south, the disaster of its maiden venture forced it to go slow on its plans. Having had a good year 2003-04 so far in Hindi, Sony has once again ventured into the southern territory. However, it wants to focus on Tamil for some time before entering other markets in the region.

Aayudha Ezhuthu features three pairs in the lead Surya & Esha Deol, Madhavan & Meera Jasmine and Siddharth & Trisha. The Hindi version Yuva features Ajay Devgan & Esha Deol, Vivek Oberoi & Kareena Kapoor and Abishiekh Bachchan & Rani Mukherjee in the lead.

We are definitely looking at more acquisitions. While the focus will be Tamil, we will be looking at other languages in the region later, the officials said.
For Sony, the year 2003-04 has been good so far with titles like Kal Ho Na Ho and Beyond Ce, besides a couple of Hindi compilations doing well. The company expects to close the year with a turnover of Rs 55 crore to Rs 60 crore.
