AR Rahman's Tamil Blockbuster "BOYS"

Rahman's much anticipated "Boys" is set to release soon and everyone is keen on finding out more about this album. Who are the singers? What are the soundtracks like? When is the release date? Will the album be delayed? If anyone has any idea; please post here....

Also; use this thread to discuss this album..

Here is what i found::

Typical of Shankar, the director is not prepared to say much about the film at this point. However, it is known that the film will be very youthful, almost teeny-bop, in content, with the majority of the cast being in the 16-23 age group.

Shankar, apparently, has decided to cast all new faces in his film – and the younger the better.

In fact, a mention in various Tamil periodicals, and an accompanying advertisement to the effect that Shankar was looking for new faces, has created a headache of sorts for the producers. Curriculums vitae have been pouring in to the Surya Movies post box ever since the ad and the story ran in the vernacular press – and last heard from, the flood shows no signs of abating.

Curiously enough, the ad appears – thanks to emails and discussion groups – to have reached an audience abroad as well, with the result that newer batches of applications have US, British and suchlike stamps on them, which suits the producer and director fine since the film does incorporate a lot of NRI faces.

For Shankar, Boys will be a return to romance after Kadhalan, and to comedy after the Aishwarya Rai-Prashanth starrer Jeans. Though the film will feature fresh – and ergo, inexpensive – faces, Shankar maintains that the film will be typical of his style, which means lavish budgets, and expensive production values.

  hello mr vijay!!! if for u ,if the fare is dissappointing plz shut ut ears and f*** off..rather than spreading all these false info over here,....every1 who has listened r loving the songs and enjoying.....all the songs r rocking like hell....ofxourse i 2 accept with other ppl of the grp......much of the songs like parasuram...baba..and udhaya werent 2 arr's standards.......... but this one is certainly very gud...and may the album of this decade..2001-2010.......hats off 2 arr and shankar..proved once again as a BLOCKBUSTER COMBINATION....BREAK THE RULES.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  is the singer lucky ali for secret of success sounds like him funky songs but will the masses accept as they like dandanaka music this album for youth with english words will be hit in colleges and fashion shows and overseas but not in interior places. what say guys but might just set the trend.comments invited.

  I just heard the songsssss...Amazing. I think one of Rahman's best (may be the best).
  
  A refreshing change from PP, PARASURAM, and all the dubbed ones (But Udhaya was good).

  Boyzzzzzzzzz is the Buzzzzzzzzzzzz u IR/YSR/HJ fans. no MD can think of giving such music from india. it is Deephouse type of music. he always gives his best in tamil movies. Rahman never ceases to amaze these unfaithful tamil audiences. (By the way, dunt think i'm a Paki, i'm a tamilian too).

  We are priviliged to live in ARR's era and to have listened to his music.Boyzzz has amazing composition, orchestration, choice of singers and the list goes on... Pls stop comparing ARR with YSR,HJ and Vidyasagar. It is like comparing George Bush with Laloo Prasad yadav.....

  I would say that in TFM ARRs biggest competition is coming from HJ and VS. Comon guys HJ makes some good music and give him credit for that. I like his music cuzz its really Rahmanish and now a days VS is good too.

  You are right that Boys is too good. Its amazing man. I believe its going to be a huge hit. Good thing about the music is that it has this universal appeal to it. So soon we might find it in Hindi i guess.
