Vaimaye vellum is by either deva or Vidyasagar. kakai chiraginile is by IR. themthana thana.. song is lifted from colonial cousins by deva/vidyasagar and not IR

HI Guys! I apologize for the mistake. Vaimaiye vellum is BY Deva (Confirmed). Parthiban and Rakshana are the actors.
Kakkai siraginile by IR (Parthiban and preetha vijayakumar).

Its going to be remake of Fazil's "Manichitrathazhu" . 1st half of the movie is good , kinda scares you ,makes one feel it as a ghost movie , and 2nd half is ok . Suresh Gopi is the main hero and Mohanlal appears in the 2nd half as a psychiatrist .Shobana is just gorgeous in this movie . She is amazing !!! She bagged the national award for best actress for this movie . The basic story line is about a big house and the villagers believe that the house is haunted by a ghost of a tamil dancer . That tamil woman is believed to have commited suicide due to love failure . Shobana and Suresh Gopi are married couple and they stay in that house . She has a disturbed childhood and people believe she is possessed by the ghost. But, she actually gets obsessed with the tamil woman's story that she starts to behave like here and talks and acts like her. Mohanlal helps her to solve her issues .

Original movie had a very nice song "Oru muRai vanthu paarppaayaa" By K. S. Chithra - Lyrics By Vaalee (Tamil paattuthaanbaa :) ...
I hope they reuse this song as it is in tamil version also - whoever is the MD !

if it's a remake of "Manichitrathaazhu", it's going to be interesting since the original was terrific. though mohanlal enters only around the intermission, he just rocks in that role. suresh gopi is more or less a spectator to the proceedings. guess mohanlal's role will be safe in rajni's hands since it has immense scope for comedy, which rajni has always excelled in.
further, the role is of a super-brainy pyschiatrist which will be a welcome break for the actor after all those superhero acts. BUT, the main issue here would be the heroine. shobhana was outstanding in the original. can't see anyone barring simran who can carry off this role.
PS: "Aapta Mitra", its kannada remake directed by P.Vasu himself, is doing great business in Bangalore. vishnuvardhan plays mohanlal's role.
