Kannathil Mutahmital sales???

Well its been nearly 2 weeks since Kannathil muthamital has been released. There has been some bashing and praise for the album (a normal thing when it comes to rahman album). Personaly i was disappointed only liking the title number and 'vellai pookal'. But now after repeated listening i love the songs..especially signore.
But i dont know how it is doing in India and overseas? I read somewhere it has had a phenomenon response. Can anyone enlighten us??? and please be serious i dont want some raja or YSR fan to write "a flop..a rahaman is gone! long live YSR!!!". Please give us some facts.

  There have been several rumours that the movie Kannathil Muthamittal missed the
  Pongal release date because of the delay in the songs from Rahman. The real
  reason seems to be the theme of the movie and censor issues. As the story
  involves characters with LTTE background, the movie, to receive the censor
  certificate, had to be screened before various prominent personalities. The
  audio of the film was deliberately delayed to gain more time and to avoid the
  censor issue becoming the main focus in the press.

  about screen and oscars-if ARR had won screen and filmfare awards ,I would have been looking so silly.as I said, screen and filmfare awards-ke vazhiya kaanom-oscars?It is the movie itself which has been nominated-not ARR for his music(thank god-we would not have had enough of gloating from likes of you!)but I hope lagaan wins, which is what every Indian will wish.
  If you have time to go back into the archives you can dig out the posting I made after watching lagaan-i had said somethinh nice about the songs and BGM-you see, I am not musically deaf.

  That's a 6 hour difference and I believe it takes longer than that to catch a plane and fly from Perth, Western Australia to any part of U.S.

  Yaaro, i'm not gloating. I'm happy and extremely delighted by Lagaan's nomination, as are all Indians round the world.
  I started this thread "Lagaan for Oscars; New Horizons for ARR?" and many expressed their doubts that Lagaan will get any nominations. I did not go back to them and say, hey look u were all wrong. Cos those were genuine opinions.
  Yours was a SNIDE remark full of venom and contempt. So I cud not resist taking a dig at you.
