Silly Lyrics,Great Songs

In recent weeks, we had detailed and scolarly discussions and analysis of TFM lyrics. This thread, however, is for listing and discussing some of the silly lyrics written by great writers, put to music by great MD-s and sung by great singers. Most of these songs are from funny movies or from funny scenes in great movies. The lyrics in these songs are silly, but well written, rhyming, musical, etc.

In order to avoid comparisons, I wold request you not to mention the names of writers, MD-s and singers. Just name the song, the movie and include any comments or discussion about the song.
With all the tension going on in some of the other threads, let us make this a "fun" experience! (Ravi: I hope this is within the established limits of the TFM Forum. If not, cancel it. Thanks.)

  I guess many of the recent Tamil songs are just catchy words and sentences. The songs as a whole is not at all worthy. All of them are silly. Ofcoursethere are exceptions. More to that some of the songs doesn't go with the situation.
  
  Take "Pettai RAP" from kaadhalan, the songs is full of silly lyrics, but goes wonderfully with th e movie situation.

  I liked "pettai rap" because it was different. I think this Shankar guy who wrote it is pretty smart. You see, we need some diversity too. There are different kinds of people. Just Kannadhasan or Vairamuthu may not cut it for all of them all the time.
  
  Let us not dis these kind of casual style singing. Diversity is always good.

  indu songs do not qualify. for that matter none of deva's songs would qualify. because though most of them might be silly they are never great. indu's lyrics are definitely vulgar. who wrote the lyrics for indu? is it vaali?
  
  'madisaaru kattindu' from villathi villan has a decent tune but bad lyrics.
  
  generally it is difficult to find great songs with silly lyrics, IMO.

Silly Lyrics,"Great Songs" !! ithula eppadi 2,3,4 vandhathu ? 1 is indeed great. 2 is an inspiration from "Old Mcdonald had a farm". 3 is a GRATE (:-) song and 4 is equivalent as it is a recycle (Thiruppaachchi aruvaaLa line is in"tune" with "meththai mEl saivaththirkkarththam illai" and the beat is a total rehash of "kya karEn kya nakarEn").

  I was listening to the great song "Engengo Sellum..en ennangal..". I observed the lyrics is really ridiculous..I mean, the lyrical value is a clean big zero!! In the second charanam ends as 'Nan..   I recently heard the song "oNNA reNdA thAmarai poo" from the film "ThazhuvAdha kaigaL". Very lilting tune and orchestration, but the lyrics stood out like a sore thumb ! The whole song was abound with expressions like these :

  Either IR must have used some other tune for this kind of a situation, or the lyricist should have been less explicit...
