  I think, it is to much ofxian devotionals. Let me stop it with this..
  Malayalam xian devotionals of PS from movies:
  Already we discussed about "aaksangalil irikkum"..
  Its worth mentioning another devotional song of her is “bhavakkum puthranum parisudha” , the prayer “ praise to the Father son and the holy spirit”. Many might have noticed, xian’s using the symbol cross while praying. ( they use this word when they put cross). Another song with soft music. Very nice one. Music by G.Devarajan and lyrics by vayalar from the movie “makane ninakkuvende”.

  In the movie bharya one more soulful pathos “muLL kireedam ithenthinu nalki” with fine performance by PS. I haven’t seen the song sequence. She is asking the God, why U given this “muLL kireedam” (crown with thorn)?,which was kept on Jesus’s head, when he was crucified. Xians always believe that he suffered because of our sins. That reflected in the lines “ente vedhana maikkan angithu pandu sirassil aninjille”. Before the last supper, Jesus washes his “shishya’s feet. That reflects in the line, “kannu neerAl kazhugAm njan Ee kaalvare choodiya kaaladikal”. Many could have noticed, the people holding the candles and pray. She sings, “en Athmavile mezhugu thirikal erinju theerarayile ( the candles in my soul is getting over.. hasn’t the time come to call me to your place). PS sing this song extremely well.

  Who all are not heard R.K.shekar’s (ARR’s father) music before, just listen this song once. “ Neeyente velicham, jeevante thelicham, nee en abhayamalle” from the movie Miss.Mary. A song on mother mary.

  Form the movie “bharya” two more songs “Omanakaiyil Or jeevitha kombumai” is another beautiful pathos. I can say PS put her soul in this song. There is a line “kurisil thaRikkum pOL, kumbasarillum pOL, kurubana kaikkollum pOL … engine karayathirikkum njan “. Very good song..
  ( in the MIO link, they mention PL’s name as singer. It is by PS only. (One more funny think is one chitra’s song could be seen ( she might not have born that time.. mohanlals photo also)
  One more song is from the same movie like a stage drama about the story of Adam and Eve , starts with a dialogue ” Adam ida ninakku tharunnu njan ee manjonyamaya parudeesa” and continue like this “Arkku veNam, Arkku veNam ee allippoo maala” and it’s a different one with different moods.
  Another song from the movie “Chukku” with P.Jayachandran “yerusalemile swargathootha, yesunatha, ennu varum ennu varum veendum ennu varum”, sounds like a family prayer. One more song in the same G.Devarajan, vayalar combo.

  thanks for a nice article on Xian devotionals.
  ChairmanChellamaiah had a beautiful no "Nayanalu kalise tholisari hridayalu karige malisari" by PS+SPB.All the other no's were mediocre.
  One more movie Amara Prema (Kamal haasan, Zarina wahab starrer in Telugu) had Salil Chowdury as MD.
  All the songs are great!!!!
  1) Paala mabbula thene vennela ravela
  -melody by PS+SPB
  2) Ee Priyuraliki pelle jarigenu (PS Solo).
  Both were big hits.
  All songs in this movie were by PS.

  Now I remembered after reading your post. Yes Nayanaalu is a lovely, bubbly number from CC with SC as composer.

  One more PS song that touched the hearts of millions of Telugus many years ago and still does is the song "Thotalo naa raaju". Here's the link:

  The link says that it is by Ghantasala and PS. I remember there should be a solo version of this song by PS. In any case, this is a song of longing and yearning of the heroine for the hero. Lovely, soft lyrics by Sinaare (C.Narayana Reddy) set to a wonderful haunting tune by "Mama" Mahadevan. And what a rendition by PS! Listen to how PS emotes in the song at the required places. One of my favorites of PS - this song.
  
  This song alongwith a couple of other songs, particularly Prathi raathri by Ghantasala and SPB, became hits.
