  The best way to counter JJ and likes is to go and attack IR thread similarly with junk. See, I have great regard for that man, but you can't let these people spoil a beautiful thread like this. See, I am not warning or ant thing, but there is a limit for every thing. If you don't like the songs, say that once or twice and go out.
  
  I didn't like that junk Devan, but even for once I did not go to IR's thread, even after reading some of SPMs postings tempted me in joy to do some silmisham. But, I resisted, becauswe, I wanted others to enjoy and I agree people have diff. tastes. Now, if this continues, then IR fans--u will have it pretty soon. Take it from me.
  Have a bit of sense. India doesn't attack doen't mean that it is weak.
  
  This is just a friendly advice. We too know what to do..you people better know this.

  ARR proves once again that he is a class act. though he has been slipping in standards, he still provides better music than the rest of MDs. though IR is a genius, he has no humility and no wonder his fans are like him. ARR fans pls ignore all these IR fans's remarks.BABA music is stupendous and stick to that.we know how gr8 ARR is......

  "Well, tis thread has been used to share info and the latest info on the Baba movie, related actors, actresses and anything related. Tis has been happening from time immemorial. Some people have suggested to admin to close down the thread, but admin was not only kind enuf to let us continue but has also posted tis thread on the main newtfmpage home (even before the audio was released and all we were doing was sharing Baba news).
  If u dont like this, I have some suggestions for u:
  1. dont click on the links.
  2. dont visit tis thread.
  3. mind ur own blo*dy business.
  4. go and continue ur puja in IR threads and read every link SPMlah posts about Kamal's movie tat will be out in another 4 years time.

  I have been a silent observer for the past few days observing the activities of the thread... and since my last posting i think it was Aug 2nd I havent heard Baba's music again... It has always been my way of listening to music.... listen to the album 10 times in the first 3 days and give a long break for say 7 days and then listen to it again after that.. we could observe certain new things.... I have been doing this since Gopura vasalile till Baba..
  Now for the review
  1)Baba Theme Song(Srini) - This song is more of a BGM ... Not upto the mark of Sax lullaby from Duet but definitely an attractive piece... Srini has done a decent job and the mixing is good... I would rate it 3.5/5 since its more of a sloga recital.......
  
  2)Maaya Maaya (Karthik & Sujatha)- A decent song with lots of interesting pieces inbetween... I think this more of a duet song like 'Alli alli anarkali' type... The tune is melodious but the song definitely missing something.....Sujatha proves once again that she can sing any type of song.. I wouldn't rate this song as great but definitly a foot tapping song and might be liked by the ppl for its tune.. I would rate it at 3.7/5.
  
  3)Dippu Dippu (Shankar Mahadevan)
  The opening song of the movie I guess.... More like an advice song trying to compare life with cinmea... (more like a raa raa ramayya song)...The appreciative part in this song is the usage of a variety of instruments in this song and the chorus... Shankar would have sung atleast 20 songs like this for various MDs.... The song is not my favourite and could be a song which we can listen occassionally.. I would give it a mere 3/5

  4)Baba Kichu -(SPB -Reena )
  This is an attractive song and I liked it the second or third time I listened to it.. Though I had initially complained about the pronounciation, the song has been renderred pretty well. The first interlude and the guitar piece following that are too good...... SPB's voice adds more sweet to the song and this song would be liked by many... (sounds more like a kuluvalile type situation song). As other tfm 'ers had commented, reena sounds more like Sadhna... 4.1/5
  
  5)Shakthi Kodu (Karthik)
  My favourite of the album... Starts with a good beat and gets down to kalyani with Thaayum Neeye Thandhaiyum neeye... I was reminded of one of Rahman's best 'Thamizha Thamizha' when I heard this song though there is nothing similar between the two except the speed-slow interchange in the music .The first time I listened to it I couldnt track a few instruments whereas when I heard the mp3 versions I heard the feeble usage of the guitar in the background in the interludes.... A very good song and well sung by karthik... I would rate it 4.7 out of 5..
  
  6)Rajayama (Jayachandran) - This song was another catchy one .. As UV had specified this has the sufi music and has shades of Deen Isai maalai.. I liked the sax piece of the slower version of this song... It was renderred pretty well and i guess I would be listening to this more often... Jayachandran has been a wasted talent in the 80's and the 90's mostly singing on the television... when ppl like surendhar and deepan chakravarthy have been given ample opportunities, jayachandran was pretty much restricted to slow songs and only to particular actors...I would rate this song (4/5).
  
  The album overall was a catchy one and thought most of them might not like it the first time, the music would grow over them... This is my view of the album and I do expect criticisms on the review... Some of you might even agree with me but my point in posting this review is to give my honest opinion... Not to appreciate ARR's music or to attack IR fans...This forum has had enough of it and sometimes I feel that real music fans trying to stay away from the forum just because their opinions are ridiculed or have been attacked personally...

  I think your review was reasonably good and resembles the comments posted by many others including vekatragavan, uv etc.
  
  As I said earlier I would rate Maya Maya higher than Baba kichu IMHO.
