aishwarya ,
Illayraaja mentioned that he will not use singers who will kill tamil !!!He has used lat a mangeshgar and asha bhonsle as their pronounciation is good ....Shreya ghoshal is ok in pronounciation ..Sadhana does kill but not as udit narayanan ..!!!!!!

in no way shreya is better than sadhna.hear enakku piditha paadal-kadichithuppiyaachu tamizhai!
tamizh is not a criterion for ir,he just wants to use those northindian singers just to prove his no-confidence motion against our own singers.
'onna vida' &'sandiyare' would have been better if sung by stuffs like sujatha, anuradha or any other upcoming singers who're waiting for chances.

Kangalal Kaidhu Sei
Music-A R Rahman
DO NOT READ THIS REVIEW. That is, I'm asking you not to waste time reading this. Rush to the nearest shop and get yoursef a cassette/CD of 'Kangalal Kaidhu Sei'.
Just when you thought that Rahman was going too youth, and giving peppy kind of music, rather than his lovely melodies, here comes 'KKS'. A beautiful album with lovely songs.

Director Bharathiraja's introductory speech on Side-A is something new. He introduces himself, says the film is a love-based and conveys to the listener that A R Rahman has composed the music. The manly voice evokes your interest and sets you thinking when he talks about love.
I must confess that I've never heard a better ARR-Hariharan combo number than the Hariharan chorus, 'Azhagiya Cinderella'. Hariharan is allowed to travel into new regions of music and emote higher passions. His voice is as pleasant as ever to hear; the chorus is good; all instruments used here are good; the whole song is simply great.
In the Anarkali song, sung by Karthik, Chitra and Shivamani, Shivamani opens in the Hindustani style and the Tabla accompanying him is rhytmic and nice to hear. Karthik is such a lucky guy. He gets to sing very good songs. He sings 'Anarkali' smoothly, the freshness in his voice remaining. Chitra sounds young and good here.

Excellent Album by AR Rahman ..... - Kumar, Singapore, 12/11/2003
The 'Thikuruviyay' song begins with an astonishing voice that makes you wonder how a person could sing like that. Johnson, Harini and Mukesh have such this song. The opening tune sounds a bit like 'Dhool', though. Harini pronounces the difficult-yet-good lyrics clearly and is her usual smooth self. Johnson seems to be a new name. The flute and guitar are put to good use here; the ending of the song showcases Harini's versatality in singing 'gamakas'.
The best song on side-B is the Unni Menon-Chinmayi song 'Ennuyir Thozhi'. I've been humming this song day and night, wherever I go. It starts beautifully with Rahman's piano. Unni Menon and Chinmayi team up after 'Sandhipoma' (E20-U18); here the effect is wonderful. On the whole, one of the best melodies composed by ARR. It's worth going a thousand miles to hear this one.
'Ah Ah Thamizhamma', sung by Rehana, Matangi, Blaaze is a 'masses' song. A sure chart-buster. A peppy number, it is a mixture of classical and western. The singers chosen suit the song style. Blaaze's recitation mixes well with the tempo.
All the songs are very good and definitely worth hearing. The lyrics are also good. Rahman has churned out his best and got the best out of his singers, musicians and technicians.
KKS - A must buy.

Another flop in ARR's cap with the help of BR. From now on BR has to stick with Sirpi, Deva or SA rajkumar because his recent form.

Aswathamma...the Audio is a hit...ARR can;t help the movie of course....
wat r u thinking?..
even the great IR's music in EMV couldn't save the movie...if a legend like IR can have such a flop..why not ARR (in terms of movie, of course)

Audio will be a big hit soon when it would be reused in one of the upcoming Hindi movies. EMV was a movie directed by small time malayalam director with wrong casting. But our Padmasree Bharathiraaja's hyped movie fell flat in box office even the great songs didn't help to make it run for 10 days. The picturization sucked probably! Bharathirajas, Bhagayarajs and Balachanders days are over. Cheran, Bala, and some good upcoming youngsters are going to rule TF.

Recently saw KKS.I was a little bit disappointed in the manner in which the movie proceeded. This movie doesn’t look like a thriller. It looks like a thriller only in the last 20 minutes or so. The movie is a sure class but one cannot expect the movie to be a box office hit as it is learnt that the movie is a flop. A very slow paced film with neat performance from Vaseegaran.
The real hero of this movie is A.R.Rahman.It’s a pity that BR deserted ARR like Kathir used to do in the past. The choreography was not good and the songs were not picturised nicely. Sure there was not much BGM but where ever it appears ARR proves his class and the sound effects are good. The rollicking chair, the heart beat sounds, the sound of spoons, foot steps and glasses were all dealt with perfection. Sure ARR’s stint in the north and his projects like Bombay Dreams,WOHE and LOTR are making him much better.
The movie is only for classes and the only striking aspect is the music and the intelligent screenplay.

Meenaxi -Review
1.Yeh Rishta - Reena Bhardwaj
First Reena Bhaardwaj has improved very much .This is a good folk song .Very nice melody .However the interludes seem to be the same old stuff .....9/10
2.Chinnama Chikallama -Sukhwinder
the prelude starts beacutidfully with a flute with a nice chorus ..slowly the rythm joins ....Somebody claimed that it is mix of Telugu bix and rajasthani .I disagree to that .Just meer using of Telegu words does not make it a Telugu Folk .However it has a nice rythm and beats .This is pure AR Rehman folk ..That's it ..Sure to be in 1 in Top Ten ...Interludes have very good flute piece ... 9/10 ...
3.DO Kadam ( Sonu Nigam )
AR Rehman's romance with Sonu Nigam in music continues ....The prelude starts with a Nahi samne from Taal Typ e.The tune is of teh type ' Anbe sugama ' from Parthaale paravasam ,though there is no similarity between the two .Nice melody .The interlude is mor energetic with nice use of sax ..charanam is very good ,remind sme of oen old hindi osng .....9/10
4.Dhuan Dhuan ( Asha Bhonsle )
This is teh song that was composed in a day ( fastest by ARR ) ...Teh preulude starts with soem menaingles ssounds ......it woudl ahve been better if osme instrument is used ...slwoly it blends to a piano piece ..
Sound s like a Illayraaja song ( like Nine chudakaru telugu movie ) ...Very fresh song from ARR though ...Welcome number from ARR .....The humming 'thanna thanan ' is very intresting ...the second interlude sukwindra does ahumming ,it could have been more sweet ,but asha follows it with a greta humming Tis song has influence of color album here and there ( ARR was teh keboard guy in that project ) 8.5/10
5.Rang Hai( ALka Yanik )
Again prelude has soem menaingless sounds ...starts with a maye machindra tune ....
This osng has soem similarity to 'range de ' f song in beats alone ....Ok song ...8/10
6.Noor-Un-Ala -Noor( Murtuza Khan ,Qadir khan )
Is this arelgious song ....I don't know .TSrat with a msulim religious song humming ..Good melody song with lot of hindustani classiclaa gamaks ....8/10
