  Piraiye Piraiye by Madhu is the pick of the album.
  
  Elankathu is good too.
  
  The rest should be fitting with the film.
  
  The songs are sufficient to fit and be a hit for a Bala movie.

  Piraiye Piraiye sounds soooo familair to an old song that i heard as a kid.But not sure which song cause i was small,but im pretty sure it was an illaiyaraja song.
  
  Elangaathu Veedae- is good if you're into 80's type of music, otherwise it doesnt do much for the ears.
  
  Kodi Yethi Vaipom- does nothing for me at the beginning its a situational song.Probably for some festival or pooja. But changes and incorporates the female voice which is pleasant.But once it switches back again it is boring.
  
  Adadaa starts off really good but then starts to lose it impact.
  
  Overall nuthin to be excited over.Not even worth buying. Prolli will work for the movie. Takes you back to teh 80's or even 70's iono not an album for me. Sethu was alot better.

  I kind-a agree with you, Piraiye just starts like "Puthamputh poo" and takes twists and turns..
  
  btw does Elangathu starts like "MASI MASAM ALANA PONNU?"
  
  My Opinion
  It has Class and Gr8-ness written all over it. What a clarity of instruments and their interwoven-ness in all parts of the song. Cant wait to see his BGM, which is HIS domain and has mastered the best.
  
  Even with real player files, it sounds gr8, IR IS PITHAMAGAN!!! Where were you GNANI All these days?

  Why are you guys fooling yourself and others..just becos it is from IR. Nothing great to rave about this album. It will be better if he can re-mix his old songs and can survive for another 5-6 yrs.

  Elangathu - totally spoiled by the singers.... wish IR had thought b4 calling these singers....
  
  Piraiye is good..... Madhu, as usual, sounds very close to KJY.....

  Adada : KJY's song rendering is very good at the start... but in the para's (what do u call those -saranamss ???) - u can get immly that he is aging......

  I was really looking forward for the Pitamagan album. But what a dud!!! According to me IR has gone into an identity crisis. Whether to do music in his old way or to adapt to the new technology. The result is a bunch of songs programmed with digital sounds BUT with the same old rehashed tunes of IR.
  
  'Kodi yethi vaipom', can give 'Mariamma Mariamma' song Karagattakaran a run for its money(absolutely no offence meant).
  
  Adada is a classy song but again it sounds similar to so many other songs. I am not able to place one single song, a number of songs come to my mind...
  
  Finally i dont know how many people would want to buy a casette/cd with only 4 songs. Probably will sell a few when released with combinations.

  Hi guys.....first time in my life i listened to a IR album b4 its movie release and i guess i chose the wrong movie.......songs were pretty ordinary and sounds were pretty old again from IR....... however "Piraiye Piraiye " song is IR-Stamped........good song..... overall 5/10 for the album for sheer low number of songs......

  Honestly i think MSV would have composed better songs than IR for this albumn . Not sure whether the music is done this way becuase of the film situations, otherwise very ordinary stuff.

  So Many things people comes up with to critisise the songs...only "rasanai" is enough to love them...these songs from PM is out of the world...I can feel the same breeze for the song Elangaaththu as I did in the songs from Mudhal Mariyathai...!!!
  I doesn´t say that the music is the same...but the feeling inside you...!!!

  What a Disappointing album.
  
  I do not understand IR's psychology. When u are given a prestigious project and your fans look forward, as an artist don't IR have the minimum responsibility to provide some original scores. We fans are not expecting Modern music but better scores and good music arrangements. Even Sirpi would have taken this oppty and given some scintillating numbers...
  
  Choice of singers, music arrangement are way below par. Does Bala have poor music sense or the poor guy had to accept this low-quality numbers.
  
  Better IR stop accepting prestigious projects and leave the honors to someone else.
  
  Hope Kamal had better luck, but no expectations anymore

  Guys ... most of ur missing the thiruvizha song...give a hearing....with picturisation in place... the last 1 min of the song will rock cinema halls....!
  
  Ellankathu is definitely to top the charts...! A very Good melody. Pls dont ask abt Sriram's voice..., i think its similar to old Krishnacahcnder (Thendar vandu Mutham itathu...)!

  Ilangaathu and Kodi Yethi Vaipom are gem of songs. TN will hear these songs forever, not only for the next coming few months.

  How is this a disappointing album for ARR fans?Not like any of the songs are great. Even Ilaiyaraja diehard fans were asking for pitcha telling people to buy this cd even though it isn't good. Obviously it is the die hard illaiyarajah fans that start to mess up threads because no one had made any unnecessary comments til u STS.
  
  I don't think the songs will leave an impression like his old songs. one or two may stay around for a few months, maybe we'll see better with kamal's new movie.

  C'mon IR fans....it is ok...hope our man gives better songs in the next movie if he gets chance. Right now he can keep himself busy by helping his vaarisus.
  It is time our directors start experimenting like RamGopalVarma...with having diff MDs for songs and BGM.
  This is an avg album. It will be difficult for Vikram/Surya fans to digest these songs after Kalyanamdaan(Saamy) and Uyirin Uyire(KK). Whatever be the story and accepted that the songs are going to match it...still the pace is not there.
  I'm sorry for Vikram n Surya and pray that the movie does not suck like the songs.
