Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”

Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.

Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

  I'm not going to review AE for some obvious reasons:
  1) It's a MR film (and it needs a more complex review than a tea kada talk)
  2) Many have already reviewed the movie and it would just be an extra review if I had did..
  3) A picture needs a 1000 words to describe, to be perfect. With thousands of shots - let's calculate..1000x1000= 1 000 000 ..So you need atleast a Million words to describe the movie.

  22nd May 2004 (2nd day of movie showing)
  5.10-- I run to catch the bus no.55. I would have to transfer to train to go all the way to Yishun. Then I thought that I may end up at 6.30 for the 6pm show. So I get down at the next stop
  
  5.15- Take a taxi (luckily i got 1 in time)
  (Cost now = 14.60)
  5.48-Reach GV Yishun
  5.52-The satisfaction of getting a ticket aft seeing the long queue is incomparable...But seat G28?
  5.54- I go looking for my seat. Then I choose the centre seat(ada paavi-nu yaesurathu kaathula vizhuthu)
  6.00- Starts title. What a BGM-
  6.07- Sorry Sir, These seats are fully taken.. (ippo santhoshama?)
  Ok, back to the point. Though after watching the movie, the young people may be disappointed, Most of the crowd is made up of youth. Now I remember the KUTHU Dialogue "Students kitteyum Youth-kitteyum vachukkaathe" Aa-Oo-naa dialogue-a vaari uttiranga ippalam. Thannga mudiyal Arul- proves that copying Rajini dialogues isn't the key to success of a movie

  Ferrari.....Arul had Vikram's punch dialogue and not Rajini's. Remember...in the Saamy 175 days function Rajini said that he was jealous of the punch dialogues Vikram had in Saamy. So make sure that Rajini doesn't copy such dialogues in Jaggu Bhai. Anyways, such dialogues had been there since Sivaji & MGR days.

  Btw, is sync sound same as live sound? AE should never be compared to Virumandi but after reading the posts, I sensed a little similarity - in terms of the prison scenes in the start. And the Maddy scenes as well as Bharathiraja's. Not much actually, but just the ambience and the atmosphere created. AE sound quality is very poor on Tv- esp. Sandai kozhi song. It sounded alright in the theatre. In fact, the sound was of very high quality. I thought Sync sound was some SFX sort of stuff. What is it?
