  Thanks, ******BooBoo, for the crisp answers. The recording is scheduled to be in Hungary with 130 Western and 30-40 Indian Musicians. It may include vocal too, I am not certain about this. will check it and get back to you. At present Hindi is an additional language under consideration. The verses will be translated into English for people to know the meaning of the verses. Once the minimum funds are in place, IIR will proceed to Hungary for rehearsal and recording. Hence, the sooner the fans react favorably, the faster this will be a reality.
  $5 is a token of our appreciation of IIR's music and what do we get for this?.... It is a service to music and Tamil and more so a personal honor of participation!

  I am not against criticism nor discussion but this seems to be going nowhere and we are still talking the same things over and over. But, let me inform you all that much progress has ben made by silent well-wishhers and fans and we are really happy about it.
  To have a meaningful and constructive discussion and work carried on for this project, I encourage all the IIR fans to join this TIS yahoogroup where we can plan without distraction. This will be only for a short period of 2 months or so, by which time this project will be a reality as the se talks are going on with no real purpose. This will also showcase to IIR as to how many of his fans want this to happen. Here is the id.

  Dear all,
  It is since one month we had started this TiS project in USA and the progress we have made is really encouraging. I am getting atleast one e-mail everyday requesting ticket books and am able to accept donations from well-wishers. But, it could be better! I want all the fans in USA/Canada to contact one of us ASAP, as we would like to complete the collection process by the end of this month so that we all can give a sizeable amount to IIR for him to start acting by early next month. He needs a clear 30 days for this at Hungary and the sooner we give him the signal that we are all behind him this time, the better. So, I am once again appealing to all IIR fans in USA to come forward generously and IMMEDIATELY to make this a reality. Thanks. Here is my address once again and I thank you for your support.

  I urge all others also to contact the team and do their best..to be a part of this great moment for tamil literature/music.
  
  Let's not go and rest happily in the small divisions of our minds by thinking this project as IR's next albumn.This is not about any single person.This is one of the greatest tamil literature presented in a great musical form.And as Tamilians and lovers of quality music,it becomes our responsibility to do as much possible for this project.

  All others, as Senty rightly pointed out, let's all get together to make this happen. While it's really encouraging to get lots of responses, we need much more.

  Thanks to all those positive mails and glad to see this thread gaining momentum. As rightly said by 'Senty', this is not like any other album but an unique history-in-making and we all should feel proud to be associated with this! Let's drop our skepticism and join together to make this happen. The need is great and the time to act is NOW!! Please contact one of us asap. as we would like to make this viable by the end of this month. 'siru thuLi peru veLLam'! If only we all decide today and NOW to reach into our pockets and take out that $5 which is, less than the cost of a movie ticket, a trip to McDonalds, 2 packss of cigarettes, an archana ticket at the temple and so on... , and mail it to one of us , this project will see its light by 10th. THINGS WILL HAPPEN AND FOR THIS TO HAPPEN IIR FANS MUST COME OUT SOON. Thanks.

  That's great to hear that you've already synched up with Sankar Kumar. Also, if you've your close like minded friends/IR fans in CA/OR/WA, could you plz. talk to them about this and ask them to contact me? Word of mouth will really speed up things.
  Guys, we've been listening to IR's musice since his first movie in 1975 and it's been an very integral part of our lives. While we have always enjoyed his music, have we ever imagined that we would get an opportunity to work for him in a project? But now it's a reality. Once this project is completed successfully, there are plans to have a get together with IR himself in US. Have we ever dreamt of meeting IR in an one-on-on? And as Dr. Sankar said, what is expected of all of us something like $5 which, i think, is very much affordable. Of course, more than is very welcome. Just imagine this: Once the CD is out, we all can really be proud to be part of that.
  So, please help us guys! IR needs all of us in this! And he's given us so much in the past 28 years and this is one small pay back.

  A few questions guys (I'm one of the many planning to give $5).
  
  1. Will the credit goto the (3) collectors of the money. How will IR know, a fan called Subbu, gave him money for his work? Any plans to give credit to even to the lowest contributor, by putting his name/address?
  
  2. I'm playing devil's advocate now. How can I believe you 3 in the amount collected. Any plans of maintaining a list in a website so that each of us can go there & make sure our names/amout match.
  
  Sorry guys, I have spoken to many and these 2 were the first 2 questions asked. It will be great if all 3 of you clarify and make true statements. I'm sure a lot of people will be forthcoming.

  Now we are talking!
  If you see our first posting, [which we re-printed in these columns several days ago,] it clearly states that 'No money will be kept in any of our own accounts' and in fact, we had requested individual collectors to make out a draft in favor of TiS for the collected amount and if anyone gives checks, then it should be in favor of TiS. We are only acting as co-ordinators of US collections and each receipt book has a column in the last page where we have urged the collectors to note down the name and contact info. of the individual donors which will be put in a seperate website by about Nov. 15th at the earliest. So, each and everyone of the donors will be recognized with their name and addrees[unless they dont want this] and each one will be issued a receipt. This is only an effort to consolidate all our contributions and we DO NOT WANT to keep with us for IRS and other purposes!! We have nothing to hide and want to do this as fool-proof as possible.
  So, to answer to your ?'s, yes, IIR WILL know if Subbu gave $5. and his name &address will be put on the website. This is our word!
