One of the TFM pages, someone told “ PS sung 148 songs for IR. (proof.:raajangahm.com “). Someone replied “ no, so many songs are missing”. I just started collecting the songs. Very interesting part is “ some good numbers of IR is sung by PS in telugu
“ chinnathayaval thantha raasaave” – dalapathi ( SJ in tamil)
“valayosi kalakalakala ena kavithaigal - sathya (lata mangehkar in tamil)
“naanoru sindhu, kavadi sindhu” - sindhu bhairavi ( chitra in tamil)
“ore naal unai naan nilavil paarthathu”– ilami oonjaladugirathu ( VJ in tamil)
“kanna varuvaya mere ketkiral” -- manthil uruthi vendum (chitra in tamil)
“manjolai kili thano, maan thano” –kizhake poghum rayil
“ithayam poghuthe,enaye pirinthe” – puthiya vaarpugal (jency in tamil)

  "Manjolai Kilai thano" is a duet in telugu. SPB and PS are the singers. PS - base voice romba nalla irukku. Tamil-la humming illa. Telugu-la PS-in superb humming irukku.

  When we talk about PS - IR combo, I want to ventilate my feelings on how PS was brought down to a lower level. i.e., She was asked to sing unworthy, non-important, insignificant songs etc.
  
  1. In Pagal Nilavu: There was a song sung by Jeyachandran. It was for Sarath Babu. I don't remember the song. In that there were only 2 lines sung by PS (I remember 2 words "aNNaN thanadi"). In addition, here name was not shown in the title.
  2. In Dharmathin Thalaivan, "Then madurai Vaigai nadhi", SPB is for full song, MV for 1 line and PS for 3 lines. PS repeats this for pathos mood also. It it worth?
  3. In "Magudi", a third rated song "Dhinamum kalyanam dhinamum kacheri" for Vadivukkarasi. I don't how PS accepted the song.
  4. In many movies, PS will be for one song which is not for the heroine(Adutha varisu for Silk, in Muthu engal soththu, "malligai poo..." song in a Ramarajan film for Anuradha). These songs are not of great calibre.
  5. In Karpoora mullai, her name was shown next to Chitra.
  6. In Nayagan, she sung for a group dancer for the song "andhi mazhai megam"
  7. In a Suhasini movie "Gopurangal saivadhillai"... she sung for a Junior artist "vaadi samanja pulla".
  8. In Gayathri, she sang for Raji (another 3rd rated song).
  
  I am really surpised to see how PS accepted these songs. For her calibre, she could have rejected these offers.
  
  ARR also gave her bits... in Duet and Indian. Should PS take these offers?
  
  The above are out of my personal feelings... But the MDs like IR had tried their best to bring down Ps' image like anything, which is not fair.

  Once TMS told “IR given me chances initially to get the opertunities in shivaji movies”. Another interview PS told “Devar uyirodu iruntha varai ennai than paada vaithar”. Like that she was the permanent singer for AVM, shivaji movies, satya movies like many. So, in the initial stages IR was using them as a ladder to catch the market. Most of PS songs with IR is before 1982. You can notice more IR+PS songs from AVM, devar films, sathya movies, shivaji movies. Like that some more song she might have got because of producers and directors. After ’82 IR got the complete hold in Industry and things got changed .
  Before 80’s If there is four Female songs, PS used to sing for the main heroine and others will be for the second heroine. IR pulls PS down to second heroine level from “kaviKuyil”. “naanum oru thozhlali”,”Gayatri”, “ninaivellam nithya”, “nayagan”, “vazhkai”, “ Adutha varisu” “chinnappadas” “magudi” like many more movies.
  Next, Title card. Few movies like, “kaakiChattai” her name was not there in title. Few movies her name was pushed down to second.
  PS has a standard and she didn’t do many third class songs in TFM. But, “thinamum kalyanam” from magudi and “malliyapoo kattilile” from “enna petha rasa” are not in PS standards. The good songs of magudi was sung by other singer.
  Before also she did songs with other female singers. But she will be having another solo or duet in the same movie. But see this movies “Rettai vaal kuruvi”, “kai kodukkum kai”, “kanne radha”, “ raajthi raja” …She got only one song that too shared with others.
  One way to reduce the market is remove them form good banners, movies of top heroes, remove from top directors like …. He did it to PS
  She never complained anything about IR or other MD’s. But we could make out how much of insult ( may be indirectly) she could have faced in the Industry. That’s why she might have decided to quit the Industry.
  Now IR group also lost the market and they are facing the same scenes from the younger generation .It is a known fact that, “IR is not recognized properly”, same as PS. They have pulled down the previous generation legends, when they got the hold. The previous generation legends are TMS,PBS,PS,LRE. Only PS survived for more time and she could manage to sing 275-300 songs in IR’s music.
  Sometime they act like a biggest admirers of PS. It is very difficult to believe.
  We are the losers.... we are really missing her honey like voice..

  I am fully in agreement with you that sometime IR and his brother act as if they are loyal to PS. In 'suseela 50' prog,, Gangai amaran has presented her some 15 soverign gold chain and said that they have the photograph of PS which was published in the cover of Bommai magazine. All those people act smart. But am happy to note that there are many people, fans and friends who still admire PS. That's enough for her.
  
  Thanks for your correction # 1 & 3. But correction # 2, it is Vadivukkari (Dhinamum kalyanam song). Fyi, I saw that horrible movie "Magudi". Vadivukkarasi acted as step-sister for Mohan.
