Dear RSS Supporter
The best way to keep the 'Pseudo Secularists and Christians' out of this project is to give ALL the necessary funding to this project RIGHT NOW.
This way the 'Pseudo Secularists and Christians' will not get a chance to contribute and be shut out of this project. Even if they come forward to donate, after it has been completely funded, you can politely or impolitely turn them down.
So, please, can you do the needful? We'll teach those 'Pseudo Secularists and Christians' a good lesson. I mean, what good is religion, if it cannot teach you to hate your fellow man?!

SSSSAV,
Will efforts be made for the nomination of TIS for Grammy award ? Even if IR does not care awards, this will be a pride for tamils and Indians !!

SSSSAV:
"Grammy Award For Best Original Classical Score"
"Grammy For Futuristic Classical Composition"
"Grammy For Musical Innovation and Thought"
"Nobel Prize For Peace"
above all:
"TFM FORUM FANS AWARD FOR BRINGING TOGETHER TFM FANS FOR YEARS" (All of us here gotto think of this one.)
One after the other it will reach IR ,but I prefer when IR has time and is ready for accepting such awards and it is not now. (That is how I feel, awards and all are distractions. it brings a "purpose", a "motive" into the "work", especially when IR really doesn't like being bothered, i think, with such. )

"North part of India as a composer in the league of Naushad, SDB, Jerry Goldsmith, John Williams etc."
Dear fren,
Please dun bring down JG's & JW's name by associating with North part of India.
With all due respect to S-J, Naushad, SDB and a few more, that part of India does not know what bgm or original composition is.
And to those who think a few bunch of committee monkeys has the right(leave alone the capability!!??) to decide whether any geniuses can/should receive a music award....please dun waste ur time.

IR has accomplished so much that he doesnt seek national recognition for him or his works to validate his contributions to music. I feel that it is a loss for the millions in the nation if they do not get an opportunity to be aware and enjoy his works as we were fortunate in the south.

Orchestral form of music, writing scores is perhaps the most difficult part in creating music. A form which IR excels to greater level. Lets all wait to hear the master piece, now at its final stages.

I'm with zz on this one.
As Bharathi said,
"maraivaaha namakkulle pazhang kathaikal solvathilor perumai illai"
IR has 'thiramaan pulamai'. It deserves to be made public. Hope TiS will go a long way towards this goal.
Folks at TiS-USA,

as i am reading this article, one relevant statement from Laslo Kovacz: Such a amazing composer has not been discovered by the world is not IR' loss, but the world's. - it goes back to one thread i started - MUSICAL MATURITY, it is alos linked to some cultural value system - simply said, when the focus is on the form or the appearance, the substance will be secondary issue - a case with the peoples with superiority complex. substance is based on eons, form based on a superficial value system directly proportional to the understanding of the substance - means more you want substance and instrinsic worth, the less you depend on the physiological traits for advancing the intrinsic worth of work or culture - it takes many thousand years to get there.
ambleen (welcome back) and SSSSA can ponder over this issue - culture is not about form, it is about something inner, that consciousness about atma and paramtma (where form and ego has no value!!!!!)
That is the beauty of Indian music, which the world will appreciate only when they are ready for it.
