  Thalaivar made the right choice in choosing ARR for Baba. Even a dog will not choose IR today considering his market appeal and jaded music. So you can imagine the guys who are working with him.

  Just because you donot like a specific review donot brand the site as bad and the whole telugu music scene as bad. If IR composes for a telugu film the review from the same site will be hailed and so will be the taste of telugu fans. Cut the crap.

  ARR Fan = one who praises all his songs
  IR fan = one who doesnt like ARR songs

  Guys Here is a news from Sify Telugu...
  
  Since Rehman will be free after few months ( What does this mean??),he will be doing three straight telugu movies after a long time. His earlier ventures are not great success. One with AM Ratnam ( he is currently doing , One with Mahesh Babu and with Chiranjivi. Sify telugu mentions Since ARR is busy with Bombay dreams he gave very ordinary music to KM, PP, BABA. The above three films may not have that problem in quality as ARR is fres after few months

  Arjun did i ever mention about IR in my postings. How can you automatically assume i am an IR fan.
  You are disgrace to be an ARR fan. You are the one who is actually dragging IR fans into this forum. I am an ARR fan. But gradually he is losing his touch. That's the reality. Hard part for ARR fans is to accept it. Most of the ARR fans are ARR fans. Most defenitely they are not music fans. You should be a fan of music first. Then only you should be a fan of the Artist.
  We shouldn't behave like flock of sheeps. You guys act more like Rajini fans who think whatever Rajini acts it is a good film. I do not see any ARR fan except a few have any kind of musical sense. It is not an insult to ARR. It is an insult to so called ARR fans. I am not satisfied with my ARR's music. This is not what he used to give. I criticize him because i am a die hard fan of him. He has set highest standards. He should be able to meet consistently. Looks like his songs sound more and more ordinary. KK is the last good movie he scored for. KM, Alli Arjuna are all very very ordinary. Accept it or not. I don't force any of you. I was eagerly waiting for Baba. But i was terribly shocked at the poor standard of songs. If somebody is satisfied with this performance of ARR, i would consider myself as god's luckiest creature who know a thing or two about high quality music.

  Max: finally someone has able to perceive the reality. ARR has brought people who did not listen to music to music. He is at the peon level ;--) So, the fact is those fans do not know music in all its splendor (which means they can't appreciate beyond ARR)
  
  ALW might be pretending about ARR. Britain has produced several greats including john barry, phil collins, erasure, depeche mode, petshop boys whose melodies are better than stuff that ARR comes up with, who by the ways mixes melody lines of the above greats. ALW himself is a big fan of John Barry, who i think is easily the finest of modern composers and comes close to IR. John Barry is the composer of 11 Bond theme tunes and you'g should study "you only live twice" to understand the beauty of this guy, who also composed Born Free with Don Black - the lyricist of Bombay Dreams. ARR is a demographics thing, nothing to do with music

  ARR has not done a good job with BABA. I am extremely unhappy with the music..... he didnt treat Tallivar well.... he doesnt deserve the privilege of working with Tallivar....

  about doing the score in London etc - RK had then thought of
  approaching Deva, but the producers apparently were of the opinion
  that Deva was out of contention market-wise
  
  Finally RK had approached IR to do the score - IR having been
  aware that RK had initially approached ARR and Deva had promptly
  told RK thus : "Neenga periyya aal kittellaam poveenga - poi
  avangalaiyey music poda sollunga - yennala mudiyaadhu" - flatly
  adamantly refused to work for the film
  
  RK then went back to ARR and patched up a deal with him for the
  music to be done at London - that is how the rift between ARR and
  Vairamuthu(VM) started, with VM reportedly pissed off with ARR's
  high-handedness
  
  that is the overall picture - IR apparently is offended that RK
  came to him only because ARR refused the project initially
  
  btw, another titbit - it looks like all along, IR had sought the
  help of Kamal for his Budapest trips (IR has made several trips to
  Budapest since HEY RAM) and Kamal has all along been arranging
  accomodation for IR and putting intro. to the BUdapest Orchestra's
  conductor - this according to IR himself - no wonder IR has such
  great regards/respect for Kamal
