  I am a fan of ARR. But Roja is his best. Pudhiya Mugam was good. His Rythm based songs look like run of the mill. Baba is the worst composition by far by ARR. I think some ARR fans don't want to accept it is bad because IR fans will ridicule them. I am a big time ARR fan. But i hereby accept the music substandard. Roja, KK, AP,Pudiya Mugam and May Madham, Duet are ok. Rest are repetitive. I have been listening to ARR songs all day. It looks like i listen to the same songs again and again. In 10 years time he has scored music for just 300 or 400 songs. It is highly repetitive. I am waiting for him to try out some carnatic music. He is not willing to take that chance. I personally feel ARR is running out of ideas. His music is random. I am slowly losing interest in ARR music. Given the amount of time he takes to compose every song he should be able to deliver quality songs. Back ground music is one area where ARR is lagging behind his fellow MD harris jayaraj. His 12B BGM is impressive. As far as BABA is concernced i am hugely disappointed. Because i am a HCARR fan. He is no better than any other MD. Period

  Long time since I saw one of your posts (or did I miss them in one of these many mud slinging wars (primarily with an objective of album bashing)that had been going on out here??)
  
  I remember reading your first pass review (2-3 days ago), the final rating was somewhere between moderate and good, because you did not like at least two of the 6 songs.

  My point was similar to that of raycas. Whoever wanted to express an opinion that the album sucked and gave reason as to why that was so, should have just said it once or twice and should have just responded to comments others had. But unfortunately, some people wanted to say the same things again and again and again (that the album sucks)............. so many times that the moderates in this thread had to sing sakthi kodu and start PA as a means of defence (by the way, thanks to WN for backing me up)!!!
  
  I believe in the proverb "Naaya Adippaanen, ......... ya somappaanen???" and continued to do what I was doing regularly (post links about baba movie news, music news etc) and ignored these people for the benefit of this thread.

  LK you are the one who is saying the same thing again and again. People who live in glasshouses should not throw stones. You talk as if you are an angel and all the others are fools!! You cannot simply dismiss people as mudslinging. If ARR doesn't score well we should have guts to accept instead of calling others mudslingers. I personally feel it is a pretty ordinary album.
  There is nothing special in it. I cannot believe this album is liked by some people.

  i dont think it is ARR's bad music.... What happened to our RK man. How the hell he OKayed these songs. In one of the IR interviews, he told that Kamal is more particular in song selection.
  Now we clearly see how RK's standard is.
  
  Btw, could anyone please lt me know if this is RK's second movie as a producer(after Valli) ???

  Reviews from idlebrain.com are always very biased. They praise each and every film if it is from a big hero. I have been following them from long time now.
  This review from tc.com seems to be more appropriate one as they have habit of bashing crap and even moderately decent albums. It says songs are impressive compared to "current" songs in telugu. It is true as most of the songs in telugu are crap these days and compared to them, Baba songs are better.

  I didnt pay much attention to Maya maya much till now... Actually the pallavi sounded better than the saranam when I heard it last time...Lemme hear it a few more times...

  An ordinary album to you might be a good album to someone else.. That doesnt stop the other person appreciating it. It all depends on how you take it..
  
  According to me, if you dont like the music you can criticise it and post your comments.. The ARR lovers need or need not ignore ur comments.. similarly let the ARR lovers post their +ve comments about Baba and the ARR haters or the so-called ARR fans who feel baba is bad ignore those comments...That would solve the PA as well as personality clashes..

  Max: I was responding to C~P's comments and was not saying the same thing again and again like JJ. Please go to the old responses link (at least 6-8 times) and you will see the number of times JJ has posted that the album sucks most of which were not in response to anyone else's comments. I am not saying that everyone is a fool, neither am I saying that I am an angel. I am only an ardent fan of ARR, IR and RK.
  Believe me, a lot of people like this album as is evident from the various forums I have been to.
  So, I am surprised why many dont like the songs.

  Fliflo : Telugu review has been posted by different people. Not by the same person. At least going by their nicks.
  
  UV has posted his/her own review twice and gave a reason for that : Since there was too many posts attacking each other at that time, UV specifically mentioned the second time, that the review was posted again, so that people may not lose it in the bunch of other posts that were happening at that time. But please look at your friend JJ's posts. They were repetitive and redundant for no reason.

  max, stop acting. i'm sure you are an IR fan. tell me one instnace where IR has eclipsed ARR for the past ten years. ARR is still holding onto no.1 position both in india and tamilnadu. listen to his bombay dreams which is making "britishers" tap thier foot. let me tell u something MAAYA MAAYA is a hand grenade. it just explodes. i accept that the rest of songs are very ordinary. And mark it from me, ARR is going to rule both kollywood and bollywood for another 6-7 years. let's wish him good luck for his hollywood assignments...

  Only one thing I can say, better RK & AR fans first watch the movie sequences, then you'll find the difference of hearing songs from the cassette or from the movie visual. Side A - 1 & 2 Side B - 1 & 3 good. Best I can say is 1, 2 & 1. Basically AR's song's or always late pick up but the reach of audience ears is BIG. And most probebly why some people doesn't like the song is main: lyrics. Because if you watch the song, it's not an exact lyrics, it's almost RK talking / leaving meesage to a person. May be this is one of the reason the song is not up the mark. Let's here the song, lets's enjoy the baba movement and style. Because as RK said life is like a movie, and that is 3 hrs. I say. Movie is 3 hrs, after that go back to your own life, because rest of the hours is yours. That's all.

  if you don't know anything about telugu music, don't make stupid comments, just to make baba look good. You cannot match the quality of lyrics or music in telugu with any of the recent releases in tamil. Baba is just an average mediocre album.
  Check out anandam, kalusukovalani, jayam, nuvvu nenu, manasantha nuvve, neetho, indra, santhosham, manamiddaram, june july, kubusam lahiri lahiri laahirilo and plenty more if you want to verify. There is more talent in telugu MD's than the crap SAR, Deva, Bharatwaj types.
