Hi! We've made a major addition to newtfmpage, and that is a big song bank. Dhool features thousands of songs for your listening pleasure. This site is a part of the newtfmpage.com - swara.com group. Together with newtfmpage, we wish to make this the best place to listen to tamil film songs online and know about tamil film music. Our collection includes old, new, famous, rare and unheard of songs. We are still fine tuning and fixing the database errors, so please bear with us. We value your feedback, and this will help us build the site better. Please post your comments below or mail to comments@newtfmpage.com.

  SVV had to be a stinker. CVS always hada peculiar taste when it came to casting... for every kanchana there would be a Kavitha, for every muthuraman there would be a kalyankumar. but this time he out did himself... why on earth Sivachandran. and what was the story all about. added to it Vijaya basker! so my reasoning went.even Sripriya ( SL , this is for you!) could not lure me into the theatres.
  many years later I did see it on TV but did I see it fully. I honestly don't know. was this shot in Las Vegas or Reno? I seem to remember some gaudy lights .... who were the second pair.. raj Kumar & rathi
  I'll come back to this song once my Net connexion becomes operational at my residence. till then judgement reserved!
  But over all I remember labelling the album as just passing muster. May be I was being critical because it was a sridhar movie or may be it was the aftermath of Azhaghe UA!

  dont know why VB had to introduce jolly abraham in the song.. he could have asked SPB itself to sing in another voice :).wish the entire song was sung by SPB and VJ.

  I've sought this song for many years and had concluded that if there was ever a sliver of a chance of finding it, it will show up here at SOTD newtfmpage! Thanks for keeping the Faith!
  
  Your own journey of keeping the Faith for yourself read like religious experience of the "miracle" kind. You could file this one under "On The Road to Virudhunagar" :-)
  
  Barring a decidedly un-jolly abraham, the song lingers for the fine performance by the others in the quartet. Vaa Ilamai Azhaikkindradhu from Engamma Sabatham, another relay of four voices by the same composer, would make for a good point of comparison.

  - ChellamE is the latest album by Harris Jayaraj. The film stars Vishal and Reema Sen. Lyrics by Vairamuthu. The film is directed by Gandhi Krishna, an assistant of Shankar who directed 'Engineer' that was never released. (Remember all those movie stills with Arvind Swami and Madhuri Dixit? ).

  Sandhya is PS's niece. It would have been an incredible co-incidence to be the daughter-in-law and have a voice similar to that of PS :-)She was the judge some time back in one of the music competitions on TV and seemed frustrated at the lack of opportunities and people comparing her with PS. Our MDs seem to be obsessed with Sadhana Sargam and the likes for some inexplicable reason.

  This movie came in the mid 80s, had Nalini and a cute heroine who acted in many TV dramas (I think her name is Devi lalitha). Story by Sujatha, the movie did not do very well. I dont remember much of the movie but it is based on two rich men having a bet for one rupee, and testing 4 middle class people.
  The MD Thayanban :I am not sure if he made anyother movie other than this one. But I think he was into TV serials after this movie flopped. There is one more song ' nAAn unnidathil nAAn Then enaip pArkiren' by PS in this movie. Which is also very good. But I dont have it.
  
  - This was Thayanban's first film and probably his only one. He did the music for Dr.Narendranin kolai vazhakku among others. Apparently, our Mythila sang under him. She wrote:
  
  I know Thaayanban personally.When I was in Chennai,I have sung few songs in his 'Pallavi' orchestra and for his jingles too. He works for RBI . His job prevents him from taking a full plunge into movies.(Wise decision, I must say).

  I have the wonderful PS solo too. Will try to bring to SOTD sometime.
  
  Yes, Devilalitha is right. She acted in a few movies like Dravidan and Vasanthi, besides some DD serials in the late 80s.
  
  Btw, wasn't unnidathil naan the film in which cricketer Kapil Dev made a special appearance?
  
  I think Thayanban also composed music for Ashok Kumar's Andru Peitha Mazhayil (Saratbabu/Silk Smitha), besides serials like Dr.Narendranin Vinodha Vazhakku and En Iniya Eyandra.
