Guys,
7GRC's preview is coming on tv channels now. Yuvan has come up with a different theme music this time. Any thoughts?

A movie becomes a hit movie by one of the following:
1. When it truly depicts what is happening in most of the households.
2. When it depicts what most people dream of but don't have the guts to do!
To quote Bharathiyaar,
1.uNmai nilaiththida vENdum.
2.kanavu meippada vENdum.
paasamalar, baagappirivinai, thangappadhakkam, vietnaam veedu, samsaaram adhu minsaaram, and so many other movies for the former,
and,
enga veettu piLlai, naadOdi mannan, most of MGR, Rajini movies, mudhalvan etc. fall into the second category.
In the same vein, movies with sexual urges, aduththaveettu poNNai kaadhalikkiRadhu, etc also come under the second.
Since, most of the people long for this but dont succeed, for them these movies appeal in a great way and they throng to these movies to satisfy their unfullfilled dreams!
ThuLluvadhO iLamai, KK, 7GRBC, New, are hits only because of this and it is not a healthy trend!
But, one has to take it with a pinch of salt and smile at it![on their audocity and our gullibility!]

The last bit in the article says 7/G RC is not doing well in the interiors&the producer is apprehending a loss of 4 crores because of this&is praying the telugu version does well&prevents the loss.Sify says the entire budget of the movie is 3 crores. So how will the producer lose 4 crores even assuming the news of the film doing well only in the cities¬ the B and C centres is true?Onnume purayaliye.

Those reading my mails in this forum already know my age!! and you are correct! I am not a teen nor in the '20's!
But one thing is certain.
TRUTH[uNmai] is eternal and doesn't change with time. If it does, then it is not true!
Either in those days or in the present time this has been the truth::
nammaal seyya mudiyaadhadhu,

Hi,
I wont accept it is a flop movie..Because it touches everyone's hear whether he failed his luv or not..I accept some of the scenes(like prematural sex) is not neccessary.,But overall movie rating is excellent.

I cannot term this review as positive or negative. Yuvan brought an orchestra from Hongkong for his BGM and songs.

Mumbai Ramki,
Sify has this habit of hyping up or bringing down a movie. The latest example was VR MBBS which everyone said is a big hit except Sify.Anyways they are making it clear over the past 2 weeks that their BO report is limited only to Chennai.

One should be aware of the fact that newspapers and magazines have an obligations to the public. It is a sorry fact that, of late, this has been conveniently forgotten or ignored.
I am glad to note that a responsible paper like The Hindu has realized this at the right time and have come out with an appropriate review.
One should keep in mind that at least in Chennai, individual houses are being demolished, giving way to these apartment buildings where different kind of people will be dwelling.
Imagine the effects of hyping up a movie like 7GRBC which will only encourage those unscrupulous youths[not all!!]living in such buildings who will be encouraged by the success of such a movie.
Cinematically it may be a good movie but the themne the director is advocating is very dangerous and will only spell doom.
I agree with The Hindu.

For Hindu Boys and New are the best educational movies than 7GRC youth should watch and learn :) This review is biased..

Hindu somehow doesn't seem to be consistent in their reviews.
I remember vaguely they criticised Kathal Kondein as a sex related movie or a movie with lot of sex related scenes. But the movie ran for 175 days and even for this movie (7G) the last comment was
"Comparisons are odious and at the same time inevitable. Especially when the director's earlier film had been a carefully planned and commendably executed one"
Its a clear case of inconsistency. Igonre such reviews.
I am now in Mumbai. It is not yet released here. I was waiting for this movie since July in Chennai. These reviews only ignite frustration. Especially if they give good reviews for a movie like " New"
Instead of telling Thumbs down for 7G, I think it is OK to say Thumbs down for Hindu's inconsistent review.

Sharath ,Watch for cineplanet and aurora in Matunga ..
Even i would critize KK ,but at the same tiem appreciate Selva raghavan for an excellent screenplay ..I don't think there is contradiction here as one is related to content and other is related to the manner in which content flows ...

Based on the review, I don't see Hindu praising "New". I guess it didn't condemn it in strong terms.
