I am sure there are some friends there sharing my openion. Up to now, deva has never made any original music( we know that?). If you are keen you can trace the music back and end up in a old music (or old, present western or khana music). It is not just IR that he is copying; it starts from some poor khana musicians and goes up to western musicians. The skill of Deva is to mix very nicely others' tunes. (I like all songs. I really enjoy some of the khanna songs- the problem is I know the original ones and I am sure he has not composed any of the khana songs). Deva, sure made some nice songs that all of us might have enjoyed.
The fact is THEY ARE NEVER ORIGINAL.
OK. Now the point is this:
Can any one mention any song that they think that is something original from deva:
I give some examples
Pull veli pull veli
Mottu mottu malaratha mottu
thanga magan indru singa nadai pottu
and so on
all khana songs from the movie 'indu'
(they are not original-)
I need the help from those friends I mentioned in the beginning in finding the originals.

Kithcha, that was the intention. Should have made it a capital D...
Man, I used to check TFM Page once or twice a day. With DDs arrival, I have started to check once every hour. Naan Deva fan-o illaiyo, I am a DD fan now!
I'm going to go to all threads and ask other people not to prevent DD from posting in those threads!!! I hope that I'll get support for this noble cause from BB admin regarding DDs post promoting TT Devas music. ( Hee Hee...)

Devadi Deva,
inga ellarum ungaLa thappaa purinjindirukkaanga. People think that your psuedonym signifies your respect for Deva the MD. But WE (you and me that is, Wink! Wink!) know that your punaippeyar is directly related to the famous krithi in Sunaadha VinOdhini made everlastingly popular by Br. BMK - correct aa?
Coming to DEVA the MD - America la avarukku kOvil kattaradhukkaaga I have planned a Mega fund raiser. It will be great if genuine music lovers and experts (I wanted to say 'connoisseur' but I wanted to be sensitive to your apathy and reluctance towards using 'big' words) like YOU (actually ONLY YOU) made the initial contribution to kick off this project. My resume speaks for itself - I have failed in many projects. But atleast in this noble cause I want to succeed. Please send your nominal initial contribution of $1000 to Deva Temple Fund.
Note: This is tax deductible in all countries from which Deva has procured his 'originals' from (that is pretty much the entire world).

Sriram Lakshman:
I remember writing that I sometimes refer to www.dictionary.com before posting. But I am not Devadhi Deva, if that's what you were insinuating :-) Perish the thought ! :-) However, I am hoping it is Raj. I really miss Raj's participation in this forum !
Devadhi Deva:
Just to keep you busy (and ourselves amused) - there are a couple of threads in which we have strongly expressed our criticism about Deva and his music. Please feel free to post your comments there ! I'll revive them for you. TIA !

Hi,
Deva does only one thing originally , ie play out the copied tunes to the directors using the harmonium .
BTW
Great news for DD Deva's son who is a computer whiz reportedly turns music director to give copied songs a computer touch !

i think the only way to stop DD from here is to close down www.thesaurus.com !!!
like how u can stop Deva from composing music, if u close down Sony Music Company!!!
Hope everybody got the analogy!!!
Sure DD will agree with me..
But pl shrivel from conducing in this thread!!
if u feel my dissertation is too confiding and lain, do let me know. Will speculate to reductio ad absurdum my imbecility!!
Thanks..

Respeced Sirs,
I do have the 'meekness' to accept your IR as Beethoven. But do you have atleast the slightest 'sagacity' to accept our Thenisai Thendral as at least a present-day Aerosmith? Sirs, I am not a dabbler. I am just one of the few aficionados of Thenisai Thendral Deva Sir's music. Having done quite a bit of freelance journalism, I do not need www.dictionary.com (I should thank you guys for letting me know that such a site exists). I do not want a TTD to build a Devalayam. In the history of TFM, Deva sir has already built his temple in millions of TFM fans' hearts. Only when you build a temple out of bricks and stones, it is prone for depreciation and destruction (recently a famous MD committed this folly by building a huge Recording Theater. Look what happened to him now. After its demolishment, he is sitting as a pauper, grinding and gnashing his teeth over his folly. Maybe he should have built the 'theater' in his fans' hearts). But since Deva Sir has built his temple over the hearts of all and sundry in TN, his temple is going to last for the coming generations.
Ravi & Kitcha:
Thanks for the clarification. I am still learning English.
Koothan-II:
Let us join hands for a noble cause.
Genius:
I am too busy with lab work. Maybe you are having no work at all. I have all the "thundu" and "thuni" with me. More than that, I have "Thunive Thunai" as my dharma to tackle platform-speakers like you. Me, as well as Thenisai Thendral, "Veni, Vidi, Vici". (I hope this last line of mine would be a fitting tribute to your "reductio ad absurdum my imbecility").
We are digressing in this thread. I can give a whole complete list of Deva's original songs. How many of you have heard, "Kavalaipadaathe Sagothara", song? That song was not sung by SPB. But by our great Thenisai Thendral Deva Sir. When SPB was offered a chance to sing that song, he politely refused and fell at the feet of Deva Sir, saying, "Deva Sir, you would do more justice to the TFM Fraternity if you could sing this song by yourself. The tune is so complex that I cannot sing." Look at his modesty! This news was reported in AmbuliMaama. Do you guys know that??

I give 3 hoots to what you have to say. If you are ready for seasoned negotiations, then I am ready for that. I am not interested in tug-of-wars with IR Fanatics. All that I do care, is to get the legitimate recognition to Sir Thenisai Thendral Deva for the prolific tunes he is composing. Who is not referring to thesaurus and dictionaries these days? Your words speak for the kind of fans poor IR is having! Also with your company tag attached, do not let their name come down too. After all they have blessed you with a H visa, whereas you deserved a place no more than Kilpauk or Aataayampatti, Salem.
I am ready for seasoned discussions. Do not invite me for petty skirmishes. Remember, you are yet to comment on at least one of the songs that I had to speak on behalf of Thenisai Thendral Sir.
