  The 50 min interview starts right off with a song from Khalnayak for 2 mins (i thought this must be wrong url), then some old hindi song and DElfman praises Indian film music, also Chinese Cabaret music and ends the interview with Choli Ke Peeche song. Seems like the dude finds composing like jail sentence it seems, has plenty of time to listen to ethnic music all the time! I noticed one thing with Western people: (Pascal Heni and Danny Elfman) they seem to be liking the "plain" easy simple usually boring songs instantly. Makes me wonder how they can take Carnatic stuff.

  Interesting read this one.
  It made one thing clear for me. A song that even the northies reject as a stupid one, notable only for lyrics, is an object of interest for a renowned hollywood composer. Only thing , that I could not distinguish was whether Danny Elfman was just curious about the music or genuinely interested in experimenting with the form? Any which ways, it is good that while they are just near the edge of the pond as far as our music is concerned, our guys (IR,Prasanna, ARR)have complete mastery over theirs while easily commanding in our forms. That should make us really proud. As far as people expressing skepticism is concerned, I would ask them to exercise restraint and pray for smooth release of TiO rather than expressing fear. I would also remind them an excerpt from an IR interview. IR says that naushad had asked for a princely sum of Rs 1 Lakh and 0ne full year to compose for Mughal - e - Azam. Guys this is much bigger than MEA (Mughal - E - Azam and not Ministry of External Affairs!), delay should only mean better product as the Maestro puts more into this project.

  "Release panni tholaingadaa saaamingalaaa!!!!". This last line of Tharmam Vellum's posting is a plea by a very ardent IR fan who after patiently waiting for quite sometime cannot take it anymore.I think this line also resonates in the heart of many a IR fan

  We have repeatedly been telling the truth in this thread and also in our site that the final product, though finished on the 8th of last month, was sent back to Sony[Richards] for additional corrections and the corrected Master has just been sent back to IIR only by last week.
  This is the product that should be played to the "big' sponsors along with a package for thej to consider and make an offer.
  Since IIR didn't want to go to the sponsors without a finished product on TiO, the negotiations are only on now and VERY SOON the product will be released worldwide.
  If, in the meantime, you guys want to make a smear campaign,please feel free and go ahead with your abuses, which are not new to us.
  THIS TIME, TiO IS A REALITY AND NO FORCE ON THE EARTH CAN STOP IT FROM REACHING THE MASS IN A BIG WAY.
  UNTILL WE HEAR ADDITIONAL NEWS FROM INDIA, THIS IS OUR ANSWER, PLEA, AND REQUEST.

  It is imperative for IR to release just a sample of his recording to his fans in TIS website. This would clear some mud and would prove the authenticity of TIS. We cannot blame his fans since they waited and waited on Symphony and it never got released. Now the fans are anxious. It is just a humble suggestion.

  Better stop all this bravado and come to the point.
  
  You go all the way to New York and spend considerable amount of time and resources and declare that the product is ready.
  
  Then the Maestro gets into correction mode and you go thru the cycle all over again.
  
  Already you had admitted that the Maestro made a last minute demand in New York to change the recoding to Surround Sound and that added up some unexpected shock to the already over blown budget. Now comes the rework.
  
  This is what I call lack of clear planning, objectives and total lack of regard for other people's money! You are not doing this as a project in a professional way. Just going along as it takes to the whims and fancies of the Maestro.
  
  Does this show any sense of ownership or responsibility on your part? Absolutely not.
  
  And you talk about people making a smear campaign. If some one asks you a question, in your parlance, it is a smear campaign, is it?
  
  Hello Boss, have you forgotten that you are doing a public project with public money. And you have the responsibility to answer?
  
  The last update in your site was on 3rd Dec. Where is the Rev. Father? Why no news man? Naturally people are concerned. Because they have paid for this project.
  
  By getting upset whenever some one asks you questions, you are just trying to run away from the issue.

  If IIr wanted to bring out a product to his complete satisfaction, that was what we promised him to do and that's what we did!

  A project which would not have seen the light but for all your support and contribution, has become a reality, much sooner than anticipated, given the constraints we faced and for that to be released, it needs some more time, again only to sfeguard our interests in this. This is the reality and getting impatient and slinging words is not going to solve the issue.Thanks.

  Makkals, there is only one solution for this problem - file a Public Interest Litigation case against Tamil Maiyyam and IR for taking public money for granted and taking everyone for a ride
  
  sometime back Mani Ratnam's brother GV also did the same with the marketing of "Thalapathy" - now, our beloved Maestro is dirtying his hands as well
  
  only legal recourse will solve the problem

  Give a break to the TIO/TIS team.
  
  Most guys have no clue of how a product is produced, especially a product of this scale.
  
  You would be amazed how long it takes to get something very simple right. So, please let the seasoned professional handle the process.

  Somehow, I am sceptical that the people here who wax eloquent about the wastage of 'our money', even contributed a penny to this project.
  
  These are just the new avatar of the same folk who swore that this project would never see the light of day and discouraged everyone from getting involved. It must be hard for them to sleep at night knowing this is so close to completion.

  Deva copying is not a good excuse may be you should come up with a stronger statement which fans could believe. A sample music would enable people to pre-order copies.
