Unearthing Rare Golden Oldies of TFM into MP3s

There are many many wonderful songs in old TFM (especially belonging to the period before 1980) which many of us have heard and enjoyed in the days of their popularity, but, as years rolled by those songs came to be heard only rarely. This thread is an attempt to unearth such golden oldies. Those who have longed to hear such songs can make a "nEyar viruppam" request here. In response, those who have the songs can convert them into MP3s and share it with others here. Through sites like coolgoose.com and Yahoo briefcase, it is now possible to do such sharing easily.

As rare songs are unearthed and brought out as MP3s, it would be natural to listen to them and discuss them here, so that this thread does not simply become just a set of requests and supplies.

My sister Sathya Kabali has a large collection of rare TFM goldies in cassettes and she is in the process of converting them into MP3s and putting them in coolgoose. The songs she has uploaded are available at this link:

  It appears that most of the readers facing problems accessing Saravanan’s briefcase. I did download the two Balasaraswathy's songs without any problem. I did not try the other 3 songs cos I already had them. If Saravanan does not have any objections, I could upload them in cg.

  Does anyone remember the song that goes like '... prabanjame maya bajaarada'. This is a frolic song by SPB. It should have come in early 80's I guess. Several lines end with 'ada', like 'yenada', 'dhanada', etc. I could not recollect the song, but the 'prajanbanjame...' keeps reverberating. I guess the MD is IR. If anybody has this song, will you please upload it in Coolgoose?

  I have heard another catchy fun song "pachchayappa indha ulagam" by GA and chorus from that film before. Curious to know if there is any specific reason why you requested all songs from that movie.

  I'm an ardent Mu.Metha fan. I found out about "Thendral Varum Theru" from his song book collection. I remember reading some of the lyrics and they piqued my interest in the soundtrack. Also, it's one of the missing pieces in my IR collection. Incidentally, the movie's title is based on another popular song by the same name also penned by Mu.Metha and MDed by IR. It's a KJY duet. If anyone has that for upload, please add that too.
