  Saindhadamma Saindhadu: In this film music by IR, all 3 songs were sung by PS (one of them was duet with SPB)

  Krishna Kumar: Polls does not have an impact on PS's status as a legendary singer. After her nearly 40 years of contribution to telugu film music, she is yet to be recommended for a PS OR PVB...But do these awards mean anything to her......She has never made a hue and cry out of these episodes. She is above all these politics that dominate the film industry.

  Vicky, when SPB who is much junior to PS, has got the Padmashree award. KJY got Padma Booshan or Vibhooshan award. How? Is it due to political gimmicks only? There is something else to show excellence in being a popular than a good singer. I am not degrading PS. FYI, am craze of PS's voice. I want to know your & friends like kalai's views.

  As PS told " Our state govt. also should recomment the technicians for central govt. awards. Kerala govt did it to KJY. I dont know about andra and TN govts."
  I have lost the hope on that awards.

  Once "Inji Iduppazaha" song brought the National award to SJ when Balumahendra was the jury. Next year the hindi version of the song is awarded to Chitra. Is it correct?. I have read somewhere that remake movies wont be considered for awards." please clarify.
  few years back, a malayalam movie "Thenmavin kompathu" (original of Muthu)bagged the best MD award. In that movie two songs were copied and one is "Aasa Athigam vachu" fro marupadiyum. One of the famous MD of malayalam mr. Devarajan returned all the awards he got it from the state govt., against the selection. How is it?

  Kalai, chitra got it for the hindi version of "Oooo lalalla" not for hindi version of "Inji iduppazhaga".
  
  Fyi, Minsara kanavu was not even a re-make in Hindi. It was as it is dubbed into Hindi. But an award was given.

  Was just listening to a masterpiece by PS. Its from the movie Padagotti (all time favorite). It confirms by the way what a great mezzo-soprano PS is. The song is "Ennai Koduthu" and is available on www.tamilzone.net. Just listen to the song. An extraordinary composition by VR and well rendered by a singer par excellence-the one and only PS. I really doubt whether someone could do justice to that song other than PS. The lady has truly a divine voice and has given her heart and soul to that song. The naunces, the composition, good deliverence and a beautiful lyric by Valee..could someone ask for more. One could feel PS's voice as a spiralin continuum long after the song has passed us by. I am really awe struck after listening to it...What an accomplished singer she was.....Just listen to it....and you will appreciate the same...

  Vicky, you must also listen to "Neela Chelai Kattik Konda" in the same lines but composed by KVM for ThiruviLaiyaadal. No doubt 'Ennai Eduthu' is a classic.
  
  Have you listened to 'Nenjukku Nimmadhi Aandavan Sannidhi' from Nangu KillaadigaL? It's a simple but tilting melody. Suseela can add beauty to any tune. I bet ANY TUNE. That's why she was so sought after.
  
  MatravargaL paadinaal avvaLavu nandraaga irukka mudiyaadha vaLaivu, suLivugaL + Etra, IrakkangaL, Suseela paadinaal ketka azhagaaga irukkum. Sollath thevai illaadha ondru inimaiyaagavum irukkum enbadhu! That's how perfect her ability to grasp the tune and her rendition are!

  Vicky, u used the max to shower PS with prasing words. I don hv anymore.
  
  But to share with u guys onething. In 1995, i attended a music prog (Gangai amaran) in Chennai. PS & TMS sang together. U no, they sung "mullai malar mele", "malarndhum malaradha"....and many. In "Malarndhum malaradha" that "vimmal" piece was about to reach. Gangai showed his hand to the crowd to just only listen that Vimmal from PS. It was such a pin-drop silence and when she completed the two "vimmals"... i experienced it.. the audi was really cracked down with applause. No more words to narrate.
  
  She has become old and she is now away frm film music, but ovvoru song-um oru muthu... Athanayum nammku soththu.. Great PS.

  Vicky -- You referred a very good song. " Velli nila vanathile vanthu poguthada" paatayum kettu paarthu sollungal.
