Ajay Devgan and Vivek Oberoi can’t stop raving about the songs of Mani Ratnam’s Yuva. “A.R. Rahman and Mani Sir and dynamite together,” says Vivek on the sets of Indra Kumar and Ashok Thakeria’s Masti, and adds, “The six songs Rahman has recorded for the film are mind-blowing.”
Ajay Devgan, his co-star in Yuva and Masti, uses the same words to describe them. Incidentally, when the film was launched earlier this year, Mani Ratnam had decided not to have a single song in it.
Vivek also feels that Abhishek Bachchan’s is the best role and best performance in the film. “That guy’s career will take off in a big way after Yuva,” predicts Vivek.

ok, let me see if I can give you the exact position, thought it is there through out the song Dol Dol Dol. He starts off with the 007 tune but ends it differently.
The times are, 0:43, 0:56, 2:03, 2:16.
I am not saying, I dont like the album. I said I am disappointed with Mani.
Paran,
Making different sounds is not difficult. If you have the time and patience, you can come up with the wildest sounds. I like rahman for his melodies. I think his capability extends far beyond junk music, which remains underutilized in this album

kumar sometimes u need to guve the man a break...
u can't expect him to keep on churning Meenaxi or WOHE....let him have fun with his experimentation as well...i see no harm...
for me...if the music is good..i'm into it..that's for sure....

u kno wat bgm i like is the bgm from the Italian Job especially the boat chase. also the pirates of the caribbean i wonder when we'll get quality like that in indian cinema

Meenaxi was my favorite.
Strangely I still cannot get over 12ka4, while most people render that as a secondary choice.

hahahah,even a small kid can tell its from old theme 007,but does that mean u wont hear the song??with Manmatha raasa having old IR's tune & it can get famouse,i think this wont be a nig matter,anyway,ARR took the bit from a FAMOUSE bit,that means everyone would know,so he is brave to do that,but others (md) copy from unknown songs,which is better?u tell me!!
- coming back to AE,Sandhai Koli is the best track in the album...so greatlyy composed!!!

For example, in that Unmai Sonna song, he starts of with a percussion right. Now I love the song. Instead of that computerized sound, I would have preferred him to use the violin fast paced and high-pitched. It would have been better (to my ears :-)

i rate 1 2 ka 4 a GOOD album,with Sona Nahi,Khamoshiyan & Hai dil kibazi Laga,any album can be GOOD!!!these 3 Songs is the 1 saved the album!!

Yes, Ale Ale, especially the humming somewhere in the middle of the song.
I like Sona Nahin because of unique manner of the female starting a sentence and the male completing it and vice-versa.

u kno wat deva has copied widely known songs before. i can never forget how hard i laughed when he copied the lion king song. "Circle of Life" and the song was picturized similair manner with lots of animals and then came sarath kumar lmao. oh my.....that was hilarious.

Deva is different. He has a legal right over all music. He can choose at will to use any music with or without "slight" modification.
