  I have seen the show-I can tell you this.
  ARR is capable of better music than this which he did not deliver.this is what irritates the asian audience who have to pay to the tune of 50 pounds per head to listen to familiar music again.you can say that it is the whites ALW is targetting.but the fact is,any given day 70-80 pc of audience are asians.

  if someone had asked me whether i wished IR had done the music for this -my answer will be an emphatic no.
  you seem to be suffering from severe case of hypersensitivity .cool down-IR failing or or ARR gaining are not the end of the day!

  One bad review by a Tv interviewer karan thapar and all IR fans are going ga ga. This shows their desparation. There are 10s of very positive reviews posted in this forum itself and they are just paid journalist according to IR fans. Great logic.
  
  All said and done, ARR has delivered. But IR's sym--phonny product is still waiting...By the way did he compose it.?

  you are now banned from this page!....you should have seen (i am sure you would have not missed) the gaga gogo gege over the anananda vikitan stuff....yaroo willnot answer you now, because he likes arr music though not first his order.
  he has also some stomach burning problems....

  The songs are good ladies! Ignore all the anti-rahmanish comments... i like the one "I could live here" ....Rahman is always something...

  Karan tappar's comments are bit from the bad side.
  Why such guys comment on music as if they know every thing? He doesnt have a least appreciation for ARR to standing up to a crossover audience.
  
  On other side kumudam article is one other side of cheapness. Lines like audience were surprised by sets and music etc, are way too off from what we read from reviews.

  Though I am not a fan of ARR but still I am very proud that he is from TFM. Had Bombay dreams made by any (all are junk) Hindi music director KT would have said that was the greatest show on earth. Discard his junk comments.

  Friends, KAran Thapar is musically a moron - mind you all, I am a HCIRF - in the early 90s, KT interviewed SPB on Star Plus - I think it was a part of a late-in-the-night-11 PM-Star Plus-Talk Show; the interview was hopeless to say the least
  30 min. of prime time with an artiste of SPB's stature and calibre and the questions made very bland listening to - KT belongs to the breed of overnight-turned-scribes-journalists who don't know what they are talking about - therefore, I would always take the views/comments
  I would rather go for the comments/opinions of Mr.Bhaskar Ghose, who is more refined, well-informed, well-read and musically,artistically intelligent!

  Is A. R. Rahman losing his touch ? Is all his new stuff crap? That is what I gather from this message board. I, myself, just discovered Tamil music and I enjoy it for the most part. So what is the deal???? Perhaps I'm just misinformed... but I find it interesting that Yaaro thinks A.RR's music is targesting the white populace. True? Who knows. I'll be back :)

  Very true. I have watched KT in many interviews and love him when he scr*ws the politician. But, this one is a egg on his face. After all, he too is a paid journalist..how'z it?

  I listened to this theme song Bombay Dreams. It was awful. It was more like nursery rhyme. Man that tune resembles a lot like hit Shrek Soundtrack "Allstar" song by Smashmouth. Only difference you can listen to All Star song over and over again. But after listening to this Bombay Dreams one feels like breaking the computer. If he cannot concieve a new idea for a project such as this big, he needs to be brought down. Shakalaka baby, oo lalala, Rangeela, Chayya Chayya. Especially the lyrics were disgusting in Rangeela English version... "heros dying villains dying" what is this man? ALW must be a maniac to accept these kind of junk music. Don't you guys have brain to make your own analysis? I am a great fan of Tendulkar. Rather fanatic. But when he does something silly i go after him in forums.
  I cannot imagine the so called ARR fans are content with this junk music. Not one soul accepts that the compilation is pretty awful start to finish. Lyrics are awful. Singing is awful. In the name of fusion, he has murdered the all types of music. I know he uses trial and error method. sort of mix and match technique.
  His calculation, Indian choreagraphy will cover up the big holes in his compilation. 90% of the people who are going to listen to his album are Indian who already know all these tunes. Some of them double copy. First Tamil Same Tune in Hindi. Same Tune in English. Only a guy with dry imagination will keep on composing the same tunes with different instruments. Accepting this substandard music is even more intolerable. He is clearly running out of imagination. He is going to fall flat very soon. I hope this sound engineer cannot fool tamil audiences forever. I am surprised to see people refusing to accept that it is a very bad compilation. Cutting and pasting some junk reviews.

  good news for arr fans
  tried to book couple of tickets this weekend,
  guess what!!.. the bloody show is booked for the next 6 weeks, only the £40 ticket is available.
  as the music is so crap i might as well wait till i get a £14 ticket(btw this is only for weekend shows).
  saw the queen show "we will rock u" last weekend

  it is very very odd singing english songs in his so called 'westernized tamil' tunes. There is nothing Indian about his music as he claims. We all know about British Press and reviews. They either take you to dizzy heights even when there is no talent or take you to task moment you show no promise. Greame Hick the most overrated cricketer of the century was a favorite son of English press for long time. He was considered to be equivalent to Bradman. Flintoff scored couple of quick 50s. Suddenly they start calling him next Ian Botham. Use your own judgement instead borrowing brain from others! You listen to some junk music because others listen to it? strange logic?   ---add this....and also we dont comment cheaply on others music if we dont like it. that is where a true music lover stands. but inge we see only arr haters.
  
  There is nothing Indian about his music ,,,oh! what is that indian music essence you are missing in the BD?, shall we go little technical ,
  there is some change in chaiya chaiya musically, for example: a bright vocal harmony is comes along in the pallavi. if you hear it properly, it is interesting to compose a harmony for such gliding pallavies. Theriyama olarakudathu, working with ALW is not a joke. ALW is trying to capitalize on the senstation these songs created in india internationally. thats all, it is not arr's will to resuse the same tunes, if a world class musician gives me a million to my tunes, old or new.., I would just go jump on to it.
  This is ALW, just come to NY and talk about him!...you will know how big he is.
