SPB the greatest singer that India had ever produced

  Has SPB ever called any other singer the greatest ?. He has only said this to Rafi. If SPB feels Rafi is the greatest then so be it. Why do you want to shy away from that. That is his personal opinion. That does not mean he is humble by saying that another person is the greatest. Ofcourse no one can go around saying they are the greatest because that shows stupidity. But if you say SPB is so humble then is Lata Mangeshkar humble in saying P. Susheela is an excellent singer or anyone else for that matter saying another person is excellent. It seems to me that people here are deliberately putting SPB's comments as so called "HUMBLE" statements because they feel he is the best and cannot watch him praise anyone else. They feel SPB shouldn't claim he is the best but that SPB knows he is the best. That is all a waste of time and utter ignorance of other singers. I am not just taking Hindi songs to state Rafi is better. I provided a list of South Indian songs as well. I bet the majority here haven't heard most of Rafi's repetoire. I'm not saying I have also heard the entire repetoire of SPB. But in terms of both their abilities, we can come to a conclusion. All I was trying to do was list some attributes by SPB about Rafi. It's as if some people here can't handle the fact that SPB has praised him. Forget about all that if you want to and let's just discuss songs and other topics because this discussion will get out of hand. So no more discussing on who is better and let's just discuss their attributes.

  You should start hearing the repetoire of Rafi to understand what versitality Rafi had and why SPB has said many attributes about him. Rafi is not several places down. Any person who has listened to both the artists will never make a comment like that.

  I have listed those songs which I wanted you to hear. Did you hear them ?. And I have listed facts to prove Rafi is better. I listed facts in different songs and how both their abilities are towards the songs they sing. It seems either you missed these facts or you didn't read them carefully. And the opinions by SPB were only a side item to what I was trying to convey. Forget about comparison and let's just discuss new topics relating to both the artists.

  The reason why I said forget about comparion is because if we compare, there are others here who make silly and wasted comments. So there is no point in discussing when we can't discuss smartly.   and about these spb-threads...atleast some weeks ago there used to be atleast 5 spb-worshipping threads here in this forum which were active all the time, and in all the threads the same thing is written the whole time, only the forming of the sentences differs a bit, but the main message is always the same: spb - greatest singer, spb - music god, spb - best singer ever and so on...okay, okay, we all got this message and we all agree with all these 'facts'. so why don't u people stop this idiotic discussion...wait, wait, did i say discussion?? oh god, sorry, this is not some discussion, no, this is following: a couple of people keep on praising spb to the level of some god, and others say something like this: 'okay guy, we have understoodd what u are trying to say, but now please come to an end.' and a small amount of people are seriously discussing the songs and similiar things...

  When I gave an example that SPB may praise you when u sing. You told me to realistic. But read the stmt above, a reality itself where SPB has praised UK and your comment on that. Anyway, my point is that I was a sort of realistic.

  On SPB singing of Hindi songs, ofcourse there is always a difference in accent and prounciation when a southindian sings a Hindi song or vice-versa. But I would say, SPB improved his skills in Hindi and I once saw him speaking Hindi in Sa Re Ga Ma.
  
  To all, I think we should stop seperating North & South and slang talk. I would suggest to keep this discussion clean.
  
  Raycas, do you think we will discussing abt Sachin's skill in a forum that clearly thats for SPB. That doesnt mean that we trying make someone god.
  
  Ali, have you listened to songs that I had listed earlier. Listen to the 2 songs that I had mentioned in Idhaya koil, those 2 songs shows the capabilties & attributes in SPB. There are many like that, just pointing out those in specific in the list that I sent.

  I am not bloody SPB fanatics, neither are anybody in this thread, we praise SPB so much, huh who are we to praise SPB, I am just an ordinary person, the whole South India praise this legend, not just me, now are they all fanatics???, out of million of SPB fans, not many are aware of this forum, not many can afford a PC to post comments about SPB, but I am a lucky one with PC & Internet access, hence I post my comments, I am not Indian, I am a Srilankan, it is India they worship hero & kill themselfs, when their hero dies by falling into the burning fire, like they did 4 MGR, in your country they build temples for actress like Kushboo, god save you guys.

  ARR did not use SPB, BIG DEAL, so now u worship ARR,idiot, did u know that ARR said many times, that he respect SPB as one of the greatest legends, hence he only give him the best tune he deserves, SPB is more famous than ARR, he does not need any dumb MDs to make famous, it's a pity that ARR spoiled his tunes by using his nasal imports.

  just found out u are the same guy as raghuvaran, whose posts i've read so often.
  for a couple of weeks, or months, i had been avoiding these spb-threads, not because i don't like him or whatever (which u may be persuming), but just because of the fact that people were writing so much crap in these threads. shall i remember u of the biggest crap someone wrote in such a thread? it went something like this 'ARR is not using spb because he is afraid of sharing the success with him'. i mean really, isn't this one of the biggest crap message one has ever heard? now come on raghu, please tell me what is ur opinion to this statement? do u think arr is not using spb in his albums because he is afraid of sharing the success with him? if u really think so, then i swear u i'll never visit any spb thread in future and leave u all alone in ur dream-world and i won't ever disturb u.
  do u remember how long that thread lasted? so many people kept on writing so much crap in that thread, and 'whynot' even started a thread with 'what is the reason for so much arr-haters' or something like that.
  where is the need for so many spb-threads where people are more or less writing the same things? if u want to praise spb, then ask the administrator of this site to give u a permanent spb thread, where all of u then can go and keep on writing about each and every song spb has sung and how beautiful they all were. please spare the others with it.

  NOM, but at least when the Indians set themselves on fire, they don't try to simulatneously set another 100 people on fire at the same time, under the guise of freedom struggle (everyone has their reasons, eh?)
