Let me start this one.(It had been there previously pls. forgive me!)
"Ezhu swarangalukkul ethanai paadal..
Ithaya surangathul ethanai kelvi...
Vaazhum manitharukkul ethanai salanam.."
Wow! Beautiful voice!

Good to see activity again on this forum.
I remembered a "Pei" song of VJ yesterday. A duet with MVD. Song goes "Deemthanakka Deem.. En vazhvil vasandangal varumoo..illai ethikaalam kanalaagi vidumoo". I think it had Rajesh in the movie. Anybody knows name of the movie?

Here are the rest of VJ's songs from Navagraha Nayaki (MD: MSV). Santhana has VJ humming occasionally, singing just the pallavi a couple times. ulagukku is a short verse to Suryan. theneekkal is an anuradha/disco santhi style number. senthoora is the mandatory sad song. Enjoy!

Kik,
I am getting an error when I click on the links above.

I'm clueless as to why this doesn't work - I did the same thing last time and it worked, works (I clicked through the old responses and checked it). The other option is to post your yahoo mail id. I can add this to my friends list which means you can go to the website briefcase.yahoo.com/kishorekca and log in. The songs are in the directory songs2.
Naaz: You should be able to do this already. I'll send you a separate email as well.

kik, I heard those songs already. When I was in 5th or 6th that movie was released. I still remember about it. In Trichy, v saw the movie in a theatre called Prabath. "Ulahuku" is a small devotional work on Sooriyan. It can't come under song category. But very good one. Chandthak Kudam song is my favorite song. very soothing duet. KJY-VJ combination enru ninaikirean.

I came across a wonderful solo by VJ from the movie Chitra Pournami. "nIyum vAza vENdum ayyA nAnum vAza vENdum".
Kovai TV recently played "Ayiram ANdugaL Ayiram piRavigaL" and I listened to it after over twenty years. I couldn't believe my years. It was quite an experience.
Does anyone know what movie the song "sorkkaththin vaasal engE sollattum kaNgaL ingE" is from? It is a VJ-SPB? duet.

NeelD,
I think the song "sorkkaththin vaasal engE sollattum kaNgaL ingE" is from the movie Mangamma Sabadham (Kamal-Madhavi). I am not 100% sure though.
That movie also had a fine solo by VJ. "Cola cola cocoa cola, soda soda whisky soda...Naan thaanae..then thaanae..anandha bodhai.."

G.Ragavan,
Yes. "Koondalile Meham Vandthu" is from Bala Nagamma.(KJY & SPS for humming I think)

Listen to PJ song "Idhyavasal varugavendru" from the same movie and come back with comments.
This movie had the famous dialogue typical TR style!
After losing his eyesight Thyagarajan would say
"Avala parthu Nee Kannaigyannu ketten ;enAKKU ippa KAN NAHI"

Priya, VJ-SCK duet is for the movie "Kalyanamam Kalyanam". MD is VB. It is very similar to "AmbaLainga santhaiyila mAmA" from "Vaikasi Poranthaachu".

Guys,
Seems like that VJ was most used by SG than by any other MD. Is it true statistically is it just my belief.

Any idea where Naaz is these days?
Really enjoyed reading that poster's views and analysis.Maybe he just got fed up with all the nonsense that is considered as discussion and ideas here. Too bad for this site to lose a knowledgeable and good poster. A real loss.
No new posts from many other interesting people such as Arun UK, VGS, s0 et al. TFM page forums are losing standards and good thinkers are keeping away. Are the adminstrators asleep at the switch??

Naaz and analysis ? You must be joking. He was nothing more than a fanatic who lacked the ability to substantiate his views and knew only vj, fell at the feet of posters who agreed with him and behaved like a kid deprived of its feeding bottle with posters who did not.

Bakri M and Why Not are the same person? Now everybody can know about your integrity!!
Naaz knew much more about many musicians and also the explanations clear and always very well expressed IMO. He was one of the best for postings on tamil hindi and classical music in many threads.
I have read your posts in many IR-ARR threads, So I know you who is the fanatic. Your views lack thought and also originality, IMO.
I used to visit this site to read posters like Naaz and Vijay, suresh etc. This site is not interesting like before. Posters like yourself keep away the good ones I am convinced.

sorry WN. I confused the identity. I think someone else is using another name as Bakri M. I apologise for the confusion.

Fanatic? Dedicated could be the right word.Obsession could be the alternative.Fanatic? No!
Prob this would remain one of the very few threads where the artist s complete work was analysed, critically evaluted and appreciated.Naaz played the lead well.

Sure this was a good thread...and most people have liked most of Naaz's postings. Fanatic and Naaz!! ...no I don't agree. Maybe (excessively) upright or even opinionated, but no not a fanatic. Actually, I would say CONNOISSEUR of good art, music and literature.
One must bear in mind one thing...he is a doctorate in English literature from the University of British Columbia at Vancouver(canada). This is not an ordinary institution at all by any standards. Indeed, it is one of the world's prestigious and reputed universities, and well, we all know he is a polyglot. Learning and speaking 12-14 languages is not a piece of cake, my friends!
This does not mean we agree with everything he says, but calling him a fanatic...again a big no.
