Rajini's next movie, Baba: Who's MD?

I heard on a brief Sun News last night that Rajini has announced his next movie after 3 years, to be titled "Baba". I missed out the details though.
Does anyone know who the MD is?

  this week's kumudam says VM is the lyricst for Baba,
  
  So the MD is defenitely NOT IR, YSR or KR ....

  ne way, i do feel sad that IR's not the MD..
  He really needs a huge break.. (it definitely cant be KR or YSR)
  But there's still scope for ARR.

  I read on sify, i think, that Aish turned down the offer cos Rajini only offered 50lakhs while she wanted 2 crores. But there was no mention on the MD.

  Ok there' an article in Sify News now that ARR is indeed the MD for Rajini's movie.

  "A.R. Rahman who has proved lucky for Rajni with Muthu and Padayappa has agreed to provide music, if it is recorded in London, where he is now residing.
  
  Baba will be released on August 15."

  yes. magix & I r ARR Fans. Wat abt u, and why did u ask?
  
  Isai Priyan, if u read tat article carefully, u'll realise alot of the info there is not true. For instance, majority of the articles I've read state tat ARR is doing the music in London, whereas in tat article they stated tat he'll be doing it when he returns.
  
  Also, the moment it was announced tat Baba was underway, the news tat came out soon after was tat Aish and ARR were being approached. Plus the work for the movie is going full-swing to meet a tight deadline. Hence I dont think Rajini was sitting around in his house thinking about who to appoint as the MD, like the article describes.

  There is no basis or logic in this claim.
  
  Kamalahassan had a problem with ARR after Indian, but still went for ARR for Thenali.
  But why hasn't Kamal approached Ilayaraja after Hey Ram, when it is obvious that he has no problems with IR?

  Did u read kamal's introduction of the book written by Raja ?? Rajnikant had apparently approached Raja for Baba (this is supposedly a movie with some spiritual overtones. I guess everyone knows the off-the-movie relationship Rajnikant has with Raja -ie., they both go to thiruvaNNamalai together or some such thing)..It's likely that Rajnikant cud've..i repeat CUD have approached Raja for the music.

  Since Superstar Rajnikanth announced the commencement of his new movie Baaba,he has been getting numerous requests from both young and veteran stars pleading for a chance to act in the movie, hich is scheduled for release in August.
  
  So far, only Manisha Koirala has been confirmed as the heroine while Shangavi will appear in a supporting role.
  
  It seems there is a chance of Manisha being dropped as certain quarters close to Rajnikanth are questioning why he didn't select a younger heroine.We will have to wait and see if Manisha will eventually survive the "battle".

  I see that not many people here have the courage to call the bluff where Ilayaraja is concerned.
  
  Coming back to Kamal, would anyone in his right mind approach Ilayaraja again after the fiasco created in "Raamananaalum ...!" in Hey Ram?
  Can you imagine a song with techno beats for a period movie? After spending crores of money to give the movie an authentic feel, IR had to spoil it by this new-age song!
  
  Why would anyone go back to IR, unless they are hardcore fans?
